Received software update package, downloading in progress.

Any idea what is that about?

If it is the 455MB package, it is the Kitkat 4.4.2. I have upgraded mine. smile.gif

Yup, thats the one. So far so good. Hope it is not battery draining. And the annoying date stamp for the photo gallery is finally removed!

Because you don't have Note 3.

Note 2 don't have the hardware sensor for it .. Note 3 Neo don't have it too.
The quick toggles from those photos are from Custom rom with Ported some stuffs from Note 3.
but without sensor, it wont work.

Should I take the jump to update my N7105 to KitKat from 4.3?

To be honest, I feel that the 4.1.2 era was the most enjoyable for Note 2.

Things got way much slower in 4.3, luckily battery life didn't change much.

As for the battery cable count, I believe a ODIN restore can wipe it.
