Wahh... all nice moments shot. Especially that flame dance.
Eh? Why the days layout same like Crocodile's  laugh.gif

Or maybe Crocodile's tiru Casio.
*
Thanks man, I think the flame dance photo doesn't do the flame dancer justice laugh.gif
Was really noob that time and didn't capture the moment properly. Shouldn't have focused so much on trying to get the exposure right. In contrast, I should have just up the shutter speed and lower the ISO until leaving only the flames and shadow lines of the body, should be nicer XD

Anyways, always loved your still shots, very impressive considering you don't use flash (right?)

I) stick for nikon if u got extra money
II) get 2.8 for extra bokeh provided u gt a big budget~

well, seems meaningless la my suggestion. according to dxomark, if u want sharpest, is 70200 2.8, then 70200 4, then Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 SP Di LD [IF] macro. n the tammy 70200 macro is so darn cheap n considerably good if compared to them..i believe i must have left out something.bt still u need to ask opinion from others that had hands on before..

I hope I can get a long telephoto lens like the ones you mentioned one day haha XD Maybe when I am filthy rich I suppose haha XD Although not a very practical lens to have, it sure is fun to use it for bird/monkey/snake shots, noneed to go ninja mode laugh.gif

QUOTE(f5calvin @ Nov 28 2013, 10:12 PM)
actually i never seen the printed outcome of nex cameras.. i've a lumix lx5, terrible picture when printed out. ISO 800 means die. 1600 even worse.. dno isit bcz the printer problem or my lx5 problem or memang lx5 lidat.. looks like they smudge the picture to remove noise. bt not sure.  sweat.gif  bt nikon no worries since nikon jpg wants details compared to less noise.
*
Oh, this I have to test it out laugh.gif
I've never printed much of my photos too, though that's about to change XD
I intend to frame some of my better photos and hang in my house haha laugh.gif

totally agree, that lens is so crazy sharp even wide open.

at 70mm f2.8, it is as sharp as those prime lenses out there. at 200mm, still sharp, but can't compare with prime telephoto lens.

not to mention the not bad macro capability you can get.

at around 2.5k, it's the only brand new 70-200 f2.8 you can get.

careful though, the AF isn't that good, tends to front/back focus a little bit at longer focal length.

2.5k you mean is not nikon brand?

of course cant compare to prime telephoto lens...but i need to learn more about photography first before i move on to next stage.

I never had any problem with AF because most of the time i off my AF XD

yeap, you can even find some used ones in mint condition around 2k at GS.

if you use MF only, that lens is really darn good in IQ, i own one personally, can only complain about the focusing, other than that the lens is quite perfect.

that lens isn't that heavy compared to any f2.8 70-200, but a little heavier than f4 70-200. quite easy to handhold too, really large grip on the focus ring for you to hold.

Ya, no flash, just some lighting from the window. The rest are lightroom editing. Made a radial selection on the watch and underexposed everything else except inside the radius.

Ahh I see, thanks for sharing~
Perhaps next time can try taking shots in the dark and use torchlight to paint the watch during long exposure shot, the effect should be quite nice too hmm.gif
Dayum I don't have watch lol, and the same shooting technique cannot be used for girl watches I think since they are more cute-orientated XD

True, but the thing is that the jump from F4 to F2.8 involves a very big jump in terms of price too cry.gif cry.gif

actually no need to think that nikon's 70-200 is the only choice.

since he says he likes MF, the SWM don't matter that much that him already.

and compare the nikon 70-200 vrii/i with tamron 70-200 macro, will the 4-5k of price difference justified by better focusing motor and VR? build quality aside, most people don't threat their lens like a weapon.

it is tougher for sure.

but if you treat your lens nicely, don't abuse them, don't use in rain, don't drop or bang the lens, any lens will last many years easily.

Depends on what lens. My 35mm 1.8G still feel like cheap plastic like most Tamron and Sigma. The edge of first party lens are mostly the optical quality.
