i did my 1st degree and MBA at UUM, based on my experience, the academics staff (lecturers) OK, but the non-cademics staff SO BAD...seriously, kerani cabuk jer tu...degree time (3 years) not much problem that faced..but during a year I doing MBA, many of the problems that we cross.

- we got notice 24hours to move from tradewind to sme. hello, we not PENDATANG ok..we paid more than undergrad paid!
- for postgraduate, 1year = 3semester (1semester=4months), but fees ( 1 credit hours = rm300, 4 subject=12credit hours) still same as 1 semester = 6months, SO UNFAIR ok...
- my last semester, i apply to stay at SME, but they gv me B.Rakyat, although D SME block still more room vacancy, and they give room same blok with undergrad. undergrad start their semester break end of march, but my semester break start on JUNE...hello, u nak i duduk sorg2 dekat blok tu ker??? fyi, i have no rumate..

WHAT A 'GOOD' MANAGEMENT la..
so for those who are planning to doing ur master at UUM, plz think 10 times ya..

The class is at 11 am.
Had to wake up and waiting for bus early, only to arrive at main campus around 11.30 - according to him.

Quite similar experience with my sis, she also doing her Master here. And from her story, seems Master students have more problems than us undergraduates.

The bus situation, at least in B.Rakyat, has never improved.

Even this morning we had a program in campus. Woke up at 6:40am, planned to take the 7:30am bus. But there's no bus until almost 8am -- but even this single bus is from SME. Then two of my friends who arrived a bit late, had to take the 8:30am bus -- this is ALSO from SME. Imagine if the bus from SME is full? Or if the bus driver didn't want to stop?

So where the heck is the bus for B.Rakyat, seriously??

where our MPP UUM?? Are they know our problem?? are they doing their job? or just received the elaun with shake their punggung only..

i'm not MBA student... i'm Msc. IB... And fyi, our fees r expensive than urs... RM 150 per credit hour = RM 450 per subject....

but em cheaper than USM...

Knew it already, judging from my sis' experience. There's lack of work coordination between HEA/HEP (mainly the office staff) and the respective colleges, mainly COB - got too many issues there. Since she starts her 1st sem got prob already. From hostel to courses, everywhere got issues.

For us undergrads I think not got much prob (maybe bcoz I'm quite reserved, minding my own business only) apart from the bus issues, and some of minor dissatisfaction.

MPP? Last election was quite one-sided IMO, too many proaspirasi compared with the pro-M one. And I'm having a laugh when reading the Transisi paper that was full of praise for UUM elections. If not for those 'wajib mengundi if not kena apung' thingy, I don't bother to cast my vote at all - don't care much about campus politic. Besides, MPP for me is non-existent, they didn't have any presence at all in the campus.

yea, its 45 credit hrs, 13 subjects, the most subjects under COB is our course lah..but my 1st dgree was in IB also, dats y i take the
same course..

nah, i din aply for my master.. did u?

just too lazy to know, thats y no coordination. I prefer uum use faculty system, it will be better, u know.

em,when i was in my degree, here also, i don't even bother to vote or what so ever. cos there's no difference also, rite.

there r few things i heard bout uum, n if i can leak dat out, habisla all those ppl on top, treasury and so on.

No, do not apply myMaster...phd? soooon, after next 2-3 years. need mental and physical preparation b4 apply for phd/dba..planning to doing 2nd master..in m.sc...

oh... so i guess u r working now, right? wow, so rajin wanna do 2nd master.. em but i guess msc or what, depends on what u hope to achieve after that.. like me, i take IB course cos its quite demanding out there - as a lecturer.. its the only reason i come back to UUM, cos there's no other U that offer pure IB..

Secondly, what other jobs (aside from lecturer) for IB grads that have high demand nowadays?

im not working yet..i mean real working...working more stress than studying laa...NO more UUM la..enough 3 years degree + 1years master. as i know, msc good for lecturer and mba good for career development. what i want to achieve after that, i also dunno..ha2..if im doing msc mngmt/IB, just a few paper left, hope 1-2 semester can finish. but if im doing 2nd master at other uni, can i transfer credit? i heard that next intake for all uni will be on Sept, am i rite (wah! so lambat)? and uum still will be 3months=1semester or 6months?
