QUOTE(AlissaIU @ Sep 7 2015, 12:56 PM) Hi guys, I am currently using the old hotlink prepaid which got nothing from 9 years ago. I heard that nowadays hotlink prepaid offer unlimited low speed internet with no chrages. How can I make this? *100# - MyAccount & Others - My Account Information - Upgrade to #Hotlink PlanPlease noted that Validity30 and Validity365 not applicable for #Hotlink. QUOTE(AlissaIU @ Sep 8 2015, 09:38 AM) Found it, but it said that after I upgrade to #hotlink plan the active day will be 30? what's that mean? Means if your validity is more than 30 days (for example 1st of November 2015), when you change your plan to #Hotlink your validity will become 8th October 2015 (maximum 30 days validity after conversion to #Hotlink)Please take note that #Hotlink cannot sign up for Validity90 and Validity365 (365 days validity no need topup), and there is no u turn after u change yr plan to #Hotlink |

QUOTE(AlissaIU @ Sep 8 2015, 11:38 AM) One more question. The upgrade fee to #hotlink is rm5. So my concern is, will this package charge me every month after I upgrade to #hotlink ? Be aware that basic internet is reduced to 500mb/monthSome user had mentioned that they are unable to use internet after that Used to be 3gb Classic maxis/hotlink |

Yah, this is one thing I dun like about hotlink, previously stated "unlimited with 64kbps" now capped with 500MB. They can just change the TnC whenever they want. Screw you Maxis Hotlink!

QUOTE(AlissaIU @ Sep 9 2015, 09:20 AM) huh? which mean the free internet are no more unlimited but capped 500mb??? btw, how to check the status? I just change plan to #hotlink last year around June and it was ok with the low speed internet since still able to receive whatsapp, wechat, messenger etc. But yesterday out of sudden, it send me a SMS stated I used up 100% of my free social chat quote. I was like WTF is this?! *100*2*1# to check quota but no detail to see, just summary like "100% is used" For conversion to #hotlink, will charge RM5, but will get back RM5 after download Hotlink Apps "RED", dunno if still valid nowadays |

QUOTE(AlissaIU @ Sep 9 2015, 09:09 AM) I have already activated the #hotlink through *100# but I did not receive the free 3gb internet? Maybe is because of the starter pack? No wonder, jz now when I check at *100*2*1# nothing to show because ytd only I upgraded to #hotlink. With the Hotlink RED App installed, it'll be easier to do many things that you'll normally do through the *....# code/s. Btw, any benefits of the RED apps? With the Hotlink RED App, top-up instantly, check your balance anytime, load up your mobile data, get access to the hottest events and more! After #Hotlink, the other telcos have also come up with free Internet over the last few months, Celcom Magic SIM, Digi Smart Prepaid, and then U Mobile Power Prepaid. Guess Maxis had to make adjustments to remain competitive. My suggestion is to check the respective telco's website for the latest information before changing plans. |

And the BEST of the BEST part is that they actually REMOVE the quota info from the RED apps, trying to hide something? |

Hotlink plan is becoming too complicated for me. Normal reload vs hot ticket reload. have to key in so many things and keep track of free minutes (before expiry) and free data. So Susah. Not every vendor sell hot ticket

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Sep 9 2015, 12:35 PM) Being competitive in business doesn't have to mean only meeting your expectation, the free basic internet, in this case. There are other things involved that they would have adjusted as well, which others will only notice especially when those are exactly what impact them. You might want to widen your view and see what other telcos have to offer, to understand what's going on. Then maybe from there decide if you'll be happier if you port to another telco. Just a suggestion. This post has been edited by RDoe: Sep 9 2015, 01:09 PM |

Agree with ur points, however I still dun see the move from 3gb to 500mb consider a competitive move. And I wonder what would happen after the 6 X 500mb ended.
