Hi, I would like to ask some question about #Hotlink plan before I decide to MNP 1) For example if I purchase RM40 (RM30 + RM10 separately) top-up every month, did I get extra 10 days to bring forward to next month? (I mean is RM40=40days validity?) 2) What is the average H+ and LTE speed for #Hotlink 1GB RM30 plan? (Any location is okay just wanna see its speed) 3) Is the LTE connection stable for you? Thank you very much

QUOTE(coolstore @ Apr 16 2014, 09:39 PM) i top up rm30, used that rm30 to buy 1GB monthly plan which support LTE, but then i saw maxis disregard the top up 30 days vailidity after buying the 1gb monthly plan, means no count, still at the old expiry date. but can use data for 1 month. another thing, after buying the #hotlink simpack, to enjoy LTE u need to swap for LTE simcard. the trick is the latest #hotlink simcard came in the pack looks identical to the 128k LTE simcard (a standard sim with pre-cut microsim design), a maxis dealer (not center) customer service personnel last time confirmed me no need swap saying this is the one, but after days of try, finally discovering it is still 32k simcard, got to swap. so better go to maxis own service center to change. Thank you very much and I am going to MNP so I will not buy a new simpack Just wondering what is your validity expiry day cause you said the 30 days validity is not included when u top up RM30

QUOTE(coolstore @ Apr 17 2014, 03:17 PM) oh no i mean grace period after expired validity date, the newly bought simpack come with RM5 only. topped up rm30, the validity period extended 30 days. but after buying 1gb monthly plan, this 30 days active days gone, revert back to original date before top up It will deduct 30 days when u buy the 1GB RM30 data? So now u have 5 days left with yr prepaid only?

QUOTE(coolstore @ Apr 17 2014, 04:39 PM) now in grace period already, cannot call out / sms out, must top up within 50 days i use this card for LTE internet data only I think I gonna ask them clearly before I MNP to #Hotlink, if buying 1GB RM30 plan will deduct 30 days from active period, I rather stick with DiGi Super Long Life 365 days validity (My plan is buy RM 40 [RM10+RM30] per month for 1GB internet and call, no point to MNP if I only can use 10 days for calling every month) Maybe it is a bug for u, try go to Maxis Forum and ask the CS team too This post has been edited by pokemon01234: Apr 17 2014, 04:50 PM

QUOTE(axxer @ Apr 18 2014, 12:34 AM) eh? hotlink site just changed "free internet" on #hotlink plan to "free social messaging" http://new.hotlink.com.my/en/plans/free-internet.htmljust when i plan to mnp to #hotlink this sunday for the free internet Hotlink is getting cruel Maybe they are going to introducing back Validity365 soon (I can dream ) Edit: I know their new plan, they are taking off the slow 64kbps internet and replace it with free social messaging so ppl can't complain the net is slow when they are using those apps anymore This post has been edited by pokemon01234: Apr 18 2014, 01:09 AM

QUOTE(axxer @ Apr 18 2014, 01:35 AM) i still doubt tho that they would bring back validity365 to #hotlink... based on the new "free social messaging" they're still offering free whatsapp, wechat etc access for free.. means if they bring validity365 back, people would get a whole year of free whatsapp access for just rm66, rm33 fee+rm30 reload in six months. using whatsapp would bring less income as people not using traditional sms anymore, not to mention later whatsapp will introduce voice call... currently people need to reload rm1/1day to stay active to use it, means for a whole year need to reload rm365. rm365 is better than rm66 for their profit I wonder what will happen when we use Opera Mini for net surfing lol, maybe try asking them later Btw are u still going to MNP? What is your current telco and plan?

QUOTE(coolstore @ Apr 18 2014, 10:32 AM) oh... and the link of 'How do I get FREE Basic Internet?' under q&a is not redirect to any page now I just hope No excess charges at throttled speed when you hit your quota. still apply when I sign up the 1GB plan -- Edit: I just checked all the t&c, here is the part they changed only in t&c only This post has been edited by pokemon01234: Apr 18 2014, 10:57 AM

QUOTE(coolstore @ Apr 19 2014, 09:08 PM) For example something like tracking which SMS services makes the user finish their credit fast and help them cancel it I think (I see them did quite well in Maxis CS Forum )

QUOTE(axxer @ Apr 22 2014, 12:02 AM) haven't try earlier so i tested just now after rebooting phone once, yes its activated already. btw i think "free basic internet" is still applicable. probably maxis just renamed it to "free social messaging" to lower users expectations. many idiots expects to get free unlimited, uncapped speed to stream youtube 24/7 so they changed its name. i tested with browser and facebook, opens and loads pages just fine. Can u use the code *136*9*1# and screenshot it for me? So it activate for you automatically without sending any SMS?

QUOTE(axxer @ Apr 22 2014, 12:33 AM) sorry can't take screenshot, using it on nokia dualsim dumbphone, and thats my only phone currently but the code gave me some sort of "empty" easymenu, on top got few line of empty space and at bottom only got two option, 0 Back and 00 Main menu. afaik the free internet is suppose to automatically activate after two hours of simcard activation, no need to sms anything. if still not activated even after two hours then just reboot phone. Here is the message I got and I don't think my Basic Internet still active yet, I also download the Hotlink app and it shows I have 0.00MB of quota too (I will wait 1-2 more days and see first)

Can u surf any other website beside social messaging apps?
