fsp raider 650w, seasonic s12 620w, corsair cs650m and super flower 650w... can anyone help me rank from the best till the least good? rank according to the quality and put aside the price aspect..
*
Seasonic>Super Flower>Corsair>FSP...

The Super Flower unit is known for using cheap grade caps... (..and I don't think we have 650W SF units here...)

Nothing wrong... though I'm concern about the long term... the out of spec ripple suppression is quite concerning, and may end up causing errors in your rig... sweat.gif

[Budget] ~4k include Monitor + rm 200 for decent keyboard and mouse
total max 4.5k

[Purpose] Gaming, video editing, Photoshop

[Games & softwares that use frequently] After effect, Sony vegas, photoshop, BF4

[Personal preferences]mini itx build would be nice but not a must if it reduces upgrade capabilities (most new mitx are quite capable anyway) , 16GB ram?
*
Unfortunately, if you are going with mini-ITX, you are already reducing upgradibility...

Xeon E3-1230v3 -RM789
ASUS B85M-G-RM285
Kingston 2x8GB Value 1600-RM478
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM189
Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X-RM1699 (lingloong@Garage Sales)
Seasonic S12II 620W-RM285
NZXT Switch 210-RM159
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM60
Dell U2312HM-RM560 (storm88@Garage Sales)
Total: RM4504

Prices from lingloong, CyntrixTech and Idealtech@Garage Sales. I did not include a mouse and keyboard combo, though you may consider downgrading the RAM to 8GB to allocate some of your budget for a mouse and keyboard.

what if I opt for a cheaper card say rm 900? I forgot to state I am not a hardcore gamer just want to have fun in BF4 in med/low graphics

save rm 500 wor which can go to ram

Ps cooler only needed if overclocking? But I'm not going to so no need I guess
*
Then downgrade to a R9 280X Vapor-X lo... icon_idea.gif and splurge the remaining for a SSD... icon_idea.gif

Between Core i3 4330 and A10 5800K+HD7660D which one is better?
Both are listed at RM459 in Viewnet pricelist.
I won't be using any additional GPU.
*
Usage? If you are going for integrated GPU... The APU is a good one...
Note that the A10 chip may require high speed RAMs as the integrated graphics take advantage on high speed RAMs.

For HTPC. Unlikely to play games.

I'll use value RAMs.
Don't wish to spend on performance RAMs.
*
Then an APU should be fine... tongue.gif

Is the A10 5700 sold in Viewnet?
I can't find it in the pricelist.

Since I'm using it in a HTPC case I'm very concerned about heat and fan noise.
I think the 100W A10 5800K might be too hot and noisy.
*
Unfortunately, no. sad.gif
Maybe a Celeron/Intel NUC may do the trick...
Summoning lex for further information... tongue.gif

[Budget] RM3.5K

[Purpose] Gaming, Mini Entertainment, Downloading

[Monitor resolution] : 1080p

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Dota 2, NFS , CS : GO, DreamWeaver, uTorrent

I 'm wondering performance and price value Fx-6300 and those i7/i5...  hmm.gif  which 1 best for u guys..
~can build port that have HDMI?
~possible build water blocks?
*
A watercooling setup at this price would take up a sizeable chunk of your budget, and they can be outperformed by air coolers in terms of thermal and acoustic performance. Custom watercooling aren't cheap either and they require regular maintenance... tongue.gif

The FX-6300 is no match for the i5/i7 in single threaded performance.. For your usage, consider a Xeon E3...

Build port with HDMI? I assume that you wanted a motherboard with HDMI... most boards should have one.. even if the board doesn't come with HDMI, you can always use a discrete card... icon_idea.gif

I ve ask the seller regarding the psu, he said if I want he can change it to thermaltake 500w psu for 129. He said the brand has been around for a few years. Anyone used this psu before?

Also im looking for a 20inch monitor for my hd7770. Anyone have any recommendation?
*
Thermaltake unit.. They have a lot of good and very bad ones. What is the exact make and model of that Thermaltake unit? hmm.gif

Hi, is this build ok?

i5-4440
GA.B85M-D3H
8GB G.Skill Value Ram 1600mhz
1TB Hitachi 7200RPM HDD
LG DVD RW 24x
Zotac GTX760 AMP! Edition 2GB
SF HX500W Gold 80+ Modular
NZXT H230
VX2370S

Roughly how much is this build?
*
Looks good, though I'd pay RM50 more for a Seasonic S12II 620W... It's a bronze rated unit, but it comes with Japan caps instead of some CapXon on the SF unit. icon_idea.gif

I wonder why AMD is thrown out of the window when it comes to budget gaming pc. Sure performance vs watt favor intel's but it's not night and day.
*
The trouble is cost... AMD builds here are no cheaper than Intel's equivalent.... tongue.gif
Not to mention the FX-8xxx requires a mid-high/high end board to handle as budget boards do not have adequate power phase to handle them... sweat.gif

Even APUs are not viable here as the total cost can net you a i3+discrete card... APUs are not viable unless if you intend to use the integrated GPU, or if your are building a rig with very small space where discrete cards are not possible. wink.gif
