If I up the budget to RM3000. Will it be sufficient?
CPU       :Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad   RM619
MOBO    :Gigabyte H61M-DS2     RM189
RAM      :Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 RM129
GPU      :MSI R9 280x OC       RM1199
PSU      :SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified RM149
HDD      :Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM         RM189
Case      :NZXT H440 ATX Mid Tower    RM129
Monitor   :Viewsonice VA2251                                 RM415
DVDRW  :Liteon 24x                                                 RM59

Is the build above ok? RM3,077. But the CPU price might be different. How much different if we buy single CPU from store at lowyat? I have experience before. Not bundle price.

I5 4440 can save you a few bucks.

H81M mobo is what you are to look at, though it don't have pcie 3.0 and may be less ram slots too.

Corsair vengeance 4GB now minimumly RM155 per stick...

Your price list is actually very wrong. Add up the lists using Viewnet price show me over rm3.4k...

Even if I swap out the 4570, vengeance ram, mobo, 280x to cheaper parts, it still require rm3.2k for a i5 +280x rig.

So, if you insist on getting 280x, you gonna downgrade i5 to i3. If you insist on i5, gonna downgrade 280x to 760. If you stay on 2.5k budget, gonna downgrade ram to 4gb.

Last year didn't manage to build PC cause PMR tsk tsk. So need new recommendation please whistling.gif rclxms.gif

Preferably a 1150 board. Not into Oc'ing. Preferably want to get "GTX 750" if anyone can "guess" what's the pricing gonna be for it.

Games played are Minecraft, Skyrim, TF2, LoL, and maybe Titanfall or GTA V [if it's coming to PC]

Budget RM 1,600 can push RM 100 more I suppose. Don't need ultra high settings just a medium > high setting good enough for my eyes. Playing on 720p.

Re-usable parts are Case,Monitor, KB & Mouse. OS on a different story. Should I get Windows 7 or go Windows 8? How's the pricing for it? Tis all thanks for your help notworthy.gif

Thanks for the pricing. I was thinking to use SteamOS first before getting Windows 7. If minus the OS and get let's say a Palit 750 Ti ~. I heard that the Palit 750 Ti StormX Dual is RM 599. Can estimate how much will a normal or reference 750 Ti gonna cost? hmm.gif

I think we'll need to see the prices of reference cards... the current price of 750Ti is dangerously close to a R9 270 (RM80 difference)...

I think it is as always, MY's Nvidia card are being price jacked, which resulting a the price getting close to next tier card of red camp.

It's RRP (in US) is still quite reasonable.

I'd go for the FSP Hexa 500W instead since FSP is a much more reputable brand than Aerocool in PSUs.. wink.gif

Hello sifu sifee sekalian.

just want your build advice for a desktop.

purpose: moderate-heavy gaming(war thunder, civilization 5, GTA IV and GTA 5(no need max settings, cantek can di) and programming(heavy multitasking involved, since i need open alot of reference material in one go). no OC needed, so mobo no need so canggih, but i want plentiful of usb ports.

budget: 2k(excluding monitor and other peripherals. got di), but willing to up a bit if the cost-power ratio is worth it.

P.S i'd appreciate it if an SSD is included in the build, no need much, just enough to boot OS. also, the casing i would prefer something that can last me a few upgrade cycles since i might upgrade soon.
