Hi guys. If I want to install alarm/GPS tracker/immobiliser, do I install it at SC? If SC don't have and I were to install outside, will it void the warranty?

From what I know, Forte doesn't comes with immobiliser.

Can see my whity losing out a bit in color especially when parked next to another white car.

Any recommendations?

no cure since its white, long term exposure to heat and sunlight + not frequent maintaince (e.g min wash once a week, wax or sealant every 1-2 months MAYBE help to SLOW DOWN the paintwork colour changing)

One car detailing shop did hard sell to me their Japan Ion Coat product. Abt RM 700. Can last for a year. Maintenance is foc

Main point is they claimed it can regain my whity's pride.

Anyone try this product before?

Immobiliser is used when you start your car. Our smart key is different than that Camry's. Without the key in the car, camry will stop engine. Ours can be driven till Italy as long as you do not turn off the engine.

An immobiliser or immobilizer is an electronic security device fitted to an automobile that prevents the engine from running unless the correct key (or other token) is present. This prevents the car from being "hot wired" after entry has been achieved.

sos: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immobiliser

basically immobilizer just prevents ppl from starting your car without the specific key. Difference between Camry and Forte is Camry's keys are "plugged" into the car whilst Forte is in our pockets (or any where you decide to put it tongue.gif )

So without our key, no matter how the thief "hot wire", the engine won't start? blink.gif

And I thought immobiliser's function is to stop the car from moving after it traveled a certain distance without the key inside the car.

biggrin.gif  it's all about the rattling noises

front - dashboard, meter
left - may be seat belt and/or door panel
back - driver seat yiikkk yakk squeaking, rubbing noise at the rear dunno from where
right - seat belt cover
Add bottom - clunking noise when reverse, but solved, luckily

it all started to come out few days after collected my car, and the "orchestra" grew over time. now 1 year of age, after 3 services, it felt worse than my previous 9 years old 2nd hand car cry.gif

it kept playing in my mind dat i got a rejected unit biggrin.gif  not to mention about SCs' inattentiveness/unwillingness to work on these complaints.
*
Update on driver seat problem..I sent my car to SC and identified that it is the seat support frame (the one where springs are attached) that was the main culprit. Part ordered and changed, now quiet like a mouse rclxm9.gif hope it stays that way forever whistling.gif
