hi all sifu~ i am using E398 with celcom 1 Malaysia. When i direct plug in the dongle to my pc, i can reached 60Mbps download and 15Mbps upload in LTE only. when i plug into the TR3420 and point to the same direction, it is very unstable, max can reach 15Mbps only, but sometime it will become 1Mbps worst need to restart and i have to try my luck whether i can get back to the normal speed.

Now most of the time it have 15Mbps download speed on TR3420, but 0 upload speed hmm.gif when i try to upload something it will just stuck there.

I am forcing my E398 to run 2600 band and LTE only, if not i can only get 0.5Mbps which is very very slow. I play around with:

All version of Rooter
Changing the E398 band around E398(find out that 2600 band and LTE only is the best)
Tried my friend E3276 turn out that it is worst than E398 on both direct plug in to pc and plug in to 3420 that follow the setting according to the first page

now i am very blur which setting should i keep rclxub.gif any advise?

thanks in advance notworthy.gif

The MR3420 hardware is not good anyway

If you want 60Mbit shared, then use reverse tethering from your PC to your router tongue.gif
Google for it.

Paid solution, I heard some D-LINK router are great now. Or maybe you want to play with AF23

Stable i think, but wireless range is shorter cause no antenna, lack many advanced features, like IP reservation, much hotter, ect.
while im using e369 + TLMR 3420 which sometime the 3G modem will disconnect itself without any reason whatsoever sweat.gif

which one? DWR 921 or the latest Portable AC LTE router? brows.gif
either one seems good too, but the AC router looks very cool tongue.gif

Haven't seen one in local store, distro here very slowpoke cause not much demands.(fiber here very cheap and fast + mobile telco service very lousy lol)

i have used celcom 1M with Sierra 313u connected to TL-MR3420 v2. and it seem like when the usb is connected to the pc, it is much faster and stable compared to connected to tp-link router. is it possible to make the connection more faster and stable? because before this i used maxis and the connection is fine. thanks. biggrin.gif

first of all,

download TL-MR3420_V2_120703 from here

go to 192.168.1.1 ( in any browser )

login the LuCI interfaces

Go to System -> Backup/Flash Firmware > Reset to Default

Then go to flash new firmware image,

Untick keep setting,

Browse to tplink original firmware (TL-MR3420_V2_120703 u download just now > flash

and wait for 1~3min,.. (router will be bricked if sudden power off or let power cut off in this period )

go to 192.168.0.1 ( back in stock firmware default login username admin and password is admin too )

then from there u can either :

- upgrade to latest stock firmware 121206 version or beta version above from 120703 version

- direct setup your stock firmware

enjoy
