Good prospect in HSE, i know that Upstream PETRONAS currently developing a new Skill Group specifically on Technical Safety.. I know they also are short of manpower to look into technical safety of an upstream projects.. btw goodluck!

Btw.. got a call for interview tomorrow!! so fast.. fwd resume last week.. tomorrow interview.. but contract position for 1 year.. they say can continue later.. but still the risk is there.. so how? rule of thumb.. should i ask double of my current salary?

I'm not a bright person, but I'm a diploma holder in Chemica Eng(Process) with 2.98 CGPA and currently persue my Chemal Eng degree(part time)
at UTM Space. I would like to work in oil and gas field if I've given the chance.

I want to ask,
1)if I choose QC/QI tech in detergent/chemical field...can I work in QC at semiconductor company also or is it require mechanical/mechatronic background?

2)if I persue in QC field, can I have a chance to work in oil and gas industries?

applause..too much bad experience with client (petronas) fresh grad. These fresh grad need to get their hands dirty before assigned in desk job becoming so called 'engineer'

I went to an interview with Petronas right after Raya last year for a job with PCSB project group or something. The hiring manager wanted to hire me, we already talked and agree about salary on the first interview. But he also mentioned that the final approval lies with his boss, "Harap angin dia lepas raya ni ok" was his exact words.
days goes by but no call from HR, so I call to follow up, the HR lady say mine is KIV.
Probably they found cheaper candidates I don't know, but I will never give up sending my CVs. Sometime you don't get a job, sometimes you get an offer but not good enough to make you switch, this is normal. Never give up is my motto and my advice to others looking to get into OnG.
I am now with a OnG MNC, have been in IT for 9 years. I am still waiting the chance to work with Petronas.
Any Petronas sifu here looking for IT guy, leave me PM. hehe

GTS seem actively looking for new people. I received a call from Petronas HR last week and explain it is GTS Upstream job.
She ask me to come for interview. And I replied her "Miss, I already join Petronas liao. Will report in for PIPE coming August." LOL

For the interview with PCSB that I mentioned, i fwd my CV to a friend in Petronas.

The second interview with Petronas ICT (iPerintis), the HR found my resume online on Monsterjob. That one hiring manager wants me, offer letter already out, waiting to go to medical check up. I waited a week, then lost patience call the HR back. She said sorry due to internal issue, cannot hire me. I ask what internal issue, she cannot say. Still have that email where she say offer letter is ready. hais kena mandi bunga maybe lol.
