a lot. during my SI, the interview from GTS even asked me "if u were going to be stationed in Iraq, would u go? because we had multiple occasions before where people said they would but after accepted, decided not going to".....

In Australia tho, every yr they will hold a programme named GRADUAN - where top companies (petronas/shell/eny/pwc and such) will come for recruitment.

1. SI is only for permanent staff hiring
2. Yes, as mentioned before, u may get into permanent status with superior recommendation, but with less pay since the benefit is higher cf. contract with higher pay and less benefits.
3. it really depends on urself once the offer status is given; some ppl x want to have strings attached, so they ought for contract - easier to jump2 around, but for those who are into job security, might as well choose the perm offer.

stated in the medical referral letter? mine's dated 15/9/2014 - it says "Kindly submit the MEDEX01 form bla3...." all those bold sentences are actually instruction for the AME, not us....

my OL says that "U r to be seconded to PTS-POD". What is the connection between GTS-PTS-POD? from the letter i know POD is a dept under PTS.

yeap, got thru email yesterday and she said couriered the same day (given tracking no., so i guessed she did courier)

yeap, she did courier but haven't received it as of yesterday. called the courier service and they shall check it for me later.

it depends. but for GTS and some other OPU, they kinda having many sessions at the moment.
just fyi, for TA (not sure for CC), there will be more recommended candidates for a less number of open box. so, u'll be graded/ranked based on the results for ur TA - that's y u'll have to take turn.

for whatever it is, if it's ur rezeki, u'll get it one day...it's a matter of time.

just to share; i've passed the Technical Assessment (TA) in Feb, got called for SI since Apr (need to postpone #1 - wife was in labour), again got called in May (need to postpone #2 - went offshore), again in Aug (need to postpone #3 - went outstation) and finally went for SI in Sep - passed, got offer letter...

frankly, just to give u some ideas that the SI is not a once off offer or arranged. They kinda having taf time to get 2 assessors per candidate. even if u get a slot, they might postpone it at the very last minute, just get ready.

It depends on the PIC style. like mine, she mentioned that she will email those recommended about 2 weeks after the session. otherwise, she will send out the opposite later afterwards. but hey, just wait. u'll never know.

TA/SI assessors are not HR people - they r normally senior technical staffs. so, they are actually struggling to set a time for this extra responsibility.
