just received the ct800 from wife for my bday present. damn crisp and clear.

using it for 6 months already. Voice clarity crystal clear. But the bass, quite letdown. Dont expect like booom booom duuummm duummmmm huge bass. Better buy sound bar that has external sub woofer if the bass is more important to you ears.

From Sony shop.. 1699+299 for +3 years warranty. Total 5 years..

I know Lazada is much cheaper..but u know la ladies, not so tech-literate..

Wah...... for the overpaid amount can get additional wifi speakers. Anyway..... happy ending mah....

about sound quality, it won't have huge improvement compared to tv, but the subwoofer could improve the atmosphere la...good to buy in this price range.

Saw the Yamaha Yas-107 selling at lazada. I read most of the reviews seems to be positive.

So was looking for a temporary solution until I move to a landed property, and narrowed down between Sony CT800 and Yamaha YAS-207.

Went to Harvey Norman and compared both of them and found the SQ of the Yamaha noticeably much better than the Sony. Tonality is warmer, but overall the sound is much more refined and solid compared to Sony. Bass is tighter and more controlled on the Yamaha as well. Treble is more extended on the Sony but not as refine as the Yamaha.

Downside of the YAS-207 is there is only 1 HDMI input and no WiFi. However as SQ is more important to me I’m willing to make that compromise.
Btw, the CT800 is going for quite cheap now for around RM1,100-200 at Desa Home and Harvey Norman.
