This method can but planning to wall mount the TV later.
Bought additional HDMI Cable, not going to let it be unused.

Or can I use this method below.
Will the sound bar get the sound from the TV box?

TV Box --> TV(HDMI 1)
Sound Bar --> TV (HDMI 2) ARC

My TV supports CEC function too.

Thanks.

theoretically works. you have to refer back to your tv manual.

the reason why i suggest using optical connection is because those soundbar comes with hdmi input and output is much more expensive than those without hdmi.

those soundbar double, triple or even 10 times the price doesnt give you double, triple or 10 times the performance.

for those who are looking for soundbar, i always ask them to take the cheap Samsung HW-K350 as benchmark. Try that first before decide getting those much more expensive model.

Check out this item I found on Lazada! (New Arrival) Samsung Flat Soundbar HW-K350 150 W 2.1Ch

Thanks for the advice bro. I'm not a fan of samsung.
Will think of it whether to use optical or HDMI connection.

Using optical and HDMI got differences?

Regarding soundbar that is connected to TV (Sony X7000E) via optical, is it possible to control the volume using the TV remote alone?
Or this is only possible via HDMI-CEC?

For me,
Soundbar HDMI ARC Out ----> TV HDMI In CEC
PS4 HDMI ----> TV HDMI In
MYTV Box HDMI ----> TV HDMI In

Can control the sound via tv remote..

Ohya wireless issue is my concern for any wireless products. Any other brands can compare with Sony HT-CT800?

I eyeing this spec before but its audio output total only 180 Watts. Kind of low watts for me.

When google "HW-MS650 problem", it show in Samsung community that the unit got automatically powering off problem but till now still no solution (HW-MS650 Auto Off Problem). HWK550 no problem highlighted so far. Lol.....

For me, either Samsung HW-MS650 or Sony HT-CT800. Both are selling at RM1299 in Lazada now. I prefer all in one but just that the problem of HW-MS650 put me off.

It claims to have very good bass "built in subwoofer" without need of external subwoofer. Don't have USB port n only one HDMI port...
