Has Soundbars Improved to Usable Levels?

Hi, newbie to Sound Bar here.
Planning to connect sound bar --> TV --> TV Box. Anyone can suggest me that sound bar that supports HDMI In ARC? My setup as below. TV Box -- > HDMI In ARC (Sound Bar) --> TV HDMI In ARC (TV) --> HDMI Out (Sound Bar). It seems Panasonic have HDMI In function but it is a bit too pricey. Budget below RM 2K. Thanks. I'm not a fan of samsung.the reason why i suggest using optical connection is because those soundbar comes with hdmi input and output is much more expensive than those without hdmi. those soundbar double, triple or even 10 times the price doesnt give you double, triple or 10 times the performance. for those who are looking for soundbar, i always ask them to take the cheap Samsung HW-K350 as benchmark. Hey guys, can recommend soundbar price range from RM400 - RM800
