Would suggest play all as you'll get a feel how the different heroes deck play style like and know how to deal with them when other players play against you. This is must do especially Arena where you are given random hero and cards to pick with. Also playing all heroes to level 10 net you free 100 gold as well as all the hero basic cards, so thats an incentive.

For Play mode which you build your own deck, pick hero(s) or deck style you like or best built with the limited cards you have. Your deck should 'flow' meaning all the cards come out easily each turn when and where you want it, and synergy where cards can combo off with each other. Good example I recommend is the hunter deck in the earlier thread. This part you have to focus due to your limited resources (cards and dust) to build the best few decks that suit your play style, in particular early on when you start building you library of cards.

1 month 7 - 15 pack and all other thru daily.
i would spend gold on arena than expert packs.

in Arena you dont have to earn the card to be able to draft them, as the card are entirely random, you could choose legendary card without owning them smile.gif if the draft is available to you ofcourse biggrin.gif

and you earn rebate by wining more match on arena, means you spend 150 gold in arena you might get little rebate about 15 - 30 gold if win 1 match and a guaranteed expert pack for you. so, would you spend 100 for expert pack over arena match ? this question answered.

yesterday i build a basic pally deck (no rares, epic nor legs) link http://www.hearthhead.com/deckbuilder#cMf6...h7zbP7MrI7MMr8M in 20 games 9 loses , i think i won quite many opponent , this deck build pretty slow at the start due to lack of cost 1 and 2 so mostly i use my pally special reinforce to distract my enemies , then use smaller minions to clear board by the time big minions comes into play u will shock ur opponent , i won some players which have rares and legs too like onyxia but by the time he play dat dragon his hp = 3 with no taunt while i have 5 ~ 6 (2 overbuff minions ) , this deck is weak again control and rushy decks, ok just share my opening deck GLHF laugh.gif laugh.gif

Do note that if you can get 7 wins or better in arena, you've basically earned back your investment in gold, since the gold payout is more than 150.
And occasionally you'll get two packs if you manage to get 9 wins.

I'd like to share this from one of the Hearthstone Tournament discussion.
In general, Hearthstone deck metagame falls into 4 archetypes:

AGGRO: Uses early to midgame minions and poses a threat by constantly beating down the opponent.

CONTROL: Use spells and abilities to deny board presence or the ability to apply pressure by dictating the pace of the game.

MIDRANGE: Mixes both AGGRO and CONTROL, using threatening minions and efficient spells.

COMBO: Usually relies on combining specific cards to deal lethal damage.

Keep in mind that some classes are more suited to specific archetypes more than the other.
Hopefully this will help those new to Hearthstone to be able to construct a deck with proper direction in mind, not [Insert ALL class cards here] deck nor [Insert ALL legendaries here] deck.

Think synergy and keep experimenting!
