What is Hearthstone?
Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital strategy card game that anyone can enjoy. Players choose one of nine epic Warcraft® heroes to play as, and then take turns playing cards from their customizable decks to cast potent spells, use heroic weapons or abilities, or summon powerful characters to crush their opponent.

On which platforms will Hearthstone be available?
Hearthstone will initially be available for Windows® and Macintosh®, with a version for iPad coming later.

What are the system requirements for Hearthstone?
We’ll announce specific system requirements closer to launch.

Do I need to know anything about strategy card games or Warcraft to play?
Not at all! We’ve designed Hearthstone so that anyone can get into it, no matter how familiar they are with the Warcraft universe or collectible card games. The game will teach you everything you need to know as you play it.

How do I apply for the beta test?
Just opt-in with your Battle.net account!

How will I get cards in the beta test? Do I need to purchase them with real money?
We plan to test the in-game store during the beta test, and players will be able to purchase card packs using their Battle.net Balance or other Battle.net-supported payment methods. Players will also be able to obtain cards and card packs free of charge through Practice mode, Play mode, and Arena.

The card pack price in the beta test does not necessarily reflect what the final prices will be at launch.

user posted image
Will the cards I earn or purchase in the beta test carry over into the live game? What happens if I purchased beta card packs for real money?
At this point in the closed beta, all purchases will exist in your game going forward. Also, as a thank you for testing out the in-game store during Hearthstone’s beta phase, everyone who purchased a card pack or entry into The Arena in the beta test will receive a Golden Legendary card, Gelbin Mekkatorque.

Will I be able to add friends in Hearthstone and chat with people?
Yes! The folks in your Battle.net friends list (both BattleTag and Real ID friends) are available for games or text-based conversation. Players will not be able to chat with anyone who is not on their friends list. However, players will be able to choose from a variety of emotes for basic communication during games.

I don’t live in the US; can I still participate in the beta test?
We hope to launch a beta test in other game regions after the initial beta-test launch in North America, but we don’t have any specifics to announce at this time. Stay tuned for updates.

Crafting
The crafting system is an element of Hearthstone that allows players to directly create cards from the expert card set. It can be accessed through the 'My Collection' screen.

Crafting consumes Arcane Dust to produce new cards, while disenchanting allows players to destroy unwanted cards, granting a quantity of Arcane Dust in exchange. Crafting is the quickest and most direct way of obtaining a specific card, provided you have sufficient Dust.

The amount of Arcane Dust required for crafting, and granted by disenchanting, is determined by the card's rarity. Golden cards also cost several times more Dust to craft, and reward several times more for disenchanting.

Only cards from the expert card set can be crafted or disenchanted. Reward cards and basic cards, as well as golden basic cards gained from levelling heroes, cannot be crafted or disenchanted.
[edit] Use

The combination of disenchanting and crafting allows players to convert unwanted cards into more desirable options. However, crafting any card costs between four and eight times more Dust than would be rewarded for disenchanting the same card. This makes the process extremely inefficient. Nonetheless this can be an effective way of obtaining rare cards, and may be a desirable option when disenchanting unwanted cards.

Since players can only have 2 of any card in a deck (and only 1 of each legendary card), disenchanting duplicate cards above this limit may be considered to have no true cost to the player. The 'mass disenchant' option allows players to automatically disenchant all duplicate cards in their collection.

The only limitation to crafting lies in the required amount of Arcane Dust. While it is not possible to purchase Dust directly, all cards obtained through card packs can be disenchanted.

Crafting Cost
Rarity
Amount of Arcane Dust to Craft depend on Rarity and Golden.

Common
Cost- 40 Golden- 400
Rare
Cost- 100 Golden- 800
Epic
Cost- 400 Golden- 1600
Legendary
Cost- 1600 Golden- 3200

Uncle advice,

Few ways to quickly learn the ropes:

1. Play with the AI, get familiar yourself with the game and card mechanics
2. Watch on youtube how some of the Pro players play. Recommended players to watch are Husky, Cripp, TotalBiscuit, Trump, Artosis, Day[9]
3. Read feedback and deck idea from Heartstone's official forum and other sites like hearthstoneplayers.com, www.hearthpwn.com
4. For Arena players, I recommend watch TotalBiscuit's Lord of the Arena series and read Trump's Arena card ranking http://ihearthu.com/trumps-arena-card-rankings/
5. Go checkout http://www.hearthhead.com/ to read what each card does and read the comments/critics, get a feel how good each card is
6. Mess around with some of the deck ideas, and experiment what works for you or with what cards you have at your disposal
7. Lastly, have fun!  thumbup.gif

here a temporary App for you !

App Store and Search Splashtop ( at least better than freeware Teamviewer x10 times )

http://www.splashtop.com/
ofcourse its not free for the app. but recommended by me if comes to remote control.

Local to Local internet for better performance ( very fast )
If you connected using other internet connect require monthly fee 1.99USD per month or 1 year subscription also have, but not necessary.

QUOTE(jaychow @ Oct 26 2013, 09:17 AM)
Would suggest play all as you'll get a feel how the different heroes deck play style like and know how to deal with them when other players play against you. This is must do especially Arena where you are given random hero and cards to pick with. Also playing all heroes to level 10 net you free 100 gold as well as all the hero basic cards, so thats an incentive.

For Play mode which you build your own deck, pick hero(s) or deck style you like or best built with the limited cards you have. Your deck should 'flow' meaning all the cards come out easily each turn when and where you want it, and synergy where cards can combo off with each other. Good example I recommend is the hunter deck in the earlier thread. This part you have to focus due to your limited resources (cards and dust) to build the best few decks that suit your play style, in particular early on when you start building you library of cards.
*
The true guru giving good advices, Arena is the best example to draft random card and create different strategy everytime you start anew, thats what the game never get boring ! this is the core gameplay from Hearthstone. well said unker chow smile.gif

agree
btw, u also spend some real money to buy packs?
or just keep doing daily quests to earn coin?
*
1 month 7 - 15 pack and all other thru daily.
i would spend gold on arena than expert packs.

in Arena you dont have to earn the card to be able to draft them, as the card are entirely random, you could choose legendary card without owning them smile.gif if the draft is available to you ofcourse biggrin.gif

and you earn rebate by wining more match on arena, means you spend 150 gold in arena you might get little rebate about 15 - 30 gold if win 1 match and a guaranteed expert pack for you. so, would you spend 100 for expert pack over arena match ? this question answered.
