Hi, can suggest 195/55/R15 tyres that are not so noisy but doesn't compromise a lot on grip? Currently using Hankook Kinergy and it's noisy. The tyre roar quite loud on highways.

Hi, probably a noob question here. How often should I change tyre? Currently I’m using Hankook Kinergy Ex which was purchased early 2019 iinm. A few days ago, my car skidded, lost control and turned almost 180 degrees on the road due to heavy rain. Thankfully, nothing bad happened. I know it’s not a good tyre for wet grip. The thread is still thick considering I drive less during MCO period last time. Should I consider changing tyres now? I’m considering the UC7. My car is 2012 Alza btw. Appreciate if you guy can advice me smile.gif

There is no general time or mileage cuz it all depends on tires model, driving habit, and car setup. Some can last over 5 years until over 80k km, some can be just less than a year or less than 20k km.

Heavy rain just drive slowly la. What's the speed when you spun? If you really want a good and safe tires in the wet then buy PS3/4. UC7 is still low end economy model from Continental so usually not good grip. If no budget for PS3/4 then try Maxxis Victra I-Pro.

I was not speeding that time. I was driving around 60-80 km/h and I was passing buy a road with those red stripes bump with minimal cornering.
