Assuming you are not a bloody anti-Singapore troll, Singapore is one of the most open and fair-minded countries to work in i.e. one is limited mostly by one's own ability and not by any nep hogwash that a foreigner or even Malaysians face in bolehland.
*
You mean those who make it in the homeland are not of their own capabilities and abilities despite obstacles and challenges faced like anyone else ?

Who are these "anyone else"?

As with trolls, you choose to ignore the elephant in the room called the NEP/Ketuanan Melayu/cronyism.

Exactly, with these obstacles and hurdles, many of your countrymen and ladies still make it at their homeland. Where are you now despite in the foreign land and with all fairness so to say ? Did you achieve there better than when in your own country ? Share your achievements there. Thanks.

thank you for the feedback. are you making this homeland a better place to live ? if you do not take up the new citizenship, what would you do after you have retired ?

base on the reasons given for leaving your homeland and reside in a new place, are those reasons a non existence in where you are staying and working now ? You are not treated as foreigners ? You get the same pay amount as their own citizens with the same amount of opportunities in careers ?
*
So, are you making your homeland better place to live, by staying there?

We are being treated fairly here, at least better when compared to back home. Not based on race, skin colour and religion, mostly based on merits. We get the same pay and same amount of opportunities as locals do, except for some highly sensitive jobs. But I don't think I will have the chance to be involved in those kind of job in MY anyway.

We have a very good life because we are rewarded accordingly to our hard work, not according to who you are connected with.

To be fair, there are some benefits that SG citizens have but we don't, but that is their country's policy to protect their own citizens. I don't feel MY is protecting my benefits, or my safety when I staying in my own house.

BTW, its not like you want to take up a citizenship here then they approve you straight away. Think anyhow they give you new passport like those mangala in MY? I rejected my invitation for SC, as far as I know few of the people here also rejected their SC invitation. My government still need me, fixed d for the government, hidup Budget 2014!

Why does my particular success concern you?

Success or failure doesn't offset the prevalence of social injustice in Malaysia.

Based on what I experience, I been treated in both countries as pendatang. My own homeland, I have to survive based on inequality and accept any rules and regulation based on theirs preference. However when I'm in Sg, I'm subject to the fair basis principle, survivor of the fittest and not subject to seniority or even race and nationality.

Hope that you make your point clear, I love Malaysia, if possible I would like to contribute which I already doing it for the last few years before I left the country by paying tax.

What do I get in return, in terms of sociology, security, economically and lastly fairness?

Even when I'm retired, I'm trying my best to making sure I will back to Malaysia spend my last few years there but not my kids. I rather them spend theirs teenage in a country that could add better value to them in theirs life.

All above is my own living value. My humble 2cents.

what's that MOM's regulation on Fair Practice for the employers to adhere to ? Not to take in foreigners for lower pay scale ? At least advertise for fourteen days, to hire their own citizens first and foremost. Fair minded and most open ? Go to causeway and do a survey and let us know the salaries for foreigners. Thanks.
*
Not everyone who work in SG is getting lesser than theirs Singaporean counterpart. Do bear in mind, the employer hire the candidate is based on theirs own merits and capabilities.

I could assure you that some of the Malaysian is getting more than the local there by doing the same job and some of them is even leading or heading a team.

Don't be a hatred, open your mind wide and understand that if be given a choice who would leave theirs homeland and work abroad.

If you are chinese and Indian , ask your grandparents.
They would understand this theories well.

If you are one of the NEP benefactor, continue with your mindset. God bless you

I wonder why u guys are going on and on at each other's throat when the enemy of our beloved country is known by all. U like sg, good for u, work there stay there make babies there, who gives a shit? Won't affect anyone but urself. If u like Malaysia, stay and contribute. If u like to bash either countries, well, bash. If one does not have the capacity to receive criticism and then process it and then decide if it's plain bullshit or there's actually room for improvement, well good job, what's the difference between u and a tyrant? Well i guess at least the tyrant can decide the fate of millions but u can only sit behind ur pc or laptop and type ur life away.

Go to sleep. Monday is coming so take a chill pill.

Just to seek some opinion here..I considering an opportunity to relocate to SG..considering that I have a commitment in the form of a house in KL..I am wondering if it makes any sense to move over to SG ..(take the salary equation aside as I would be earning more or less the same amount of salary both in KL & SG as it is a company relocation)..From a tax / quality of life (living in a rented room vs a house of your own for example) / cost of living perspective..would like views from you guys who have worked or working in SG to contribute your 2cents..thanks!

a. Tax wise, better of in SG as the tax rates are much lower (almost a good 6-7% less of ur annual salary.. ie RM60k taxed at 10% vs S$60k taxed at 4% effective)
b. Quality of life - really depends on how you define it. if you want big house and your own car and have your extended family nearby (assuming ur from KL), msia wins. if you want convenience and relatively good public transport, singapore wins. (and I believe this changes as you age, and as you have kids)

A few things to think about is in terms of stress levels. Stress levels of a RM5k job and a S$5k is different. (i dunno how others feel, but I feel that it's bloody competitive here and that drains me on a day to day basis. Some are invigorated by the challenge, so yea.. depends on what kind of person you are)

Yeap, you are right. Your perception started to change when you grow older. Some of them choose to back to Malaysia to have their life but some convert to Singapore citizen.

Some of them do not want the stress anymore when they are old while some already used to it to live in Singapore. Different people different perception.

Some choose to take Singapore citizenship and buy a property in JB when they retire.
