normally if go overseas that will be at least 7-9 days. Wow you manage to travel to japan with that amount.. i'm really impressed. I'm trying to save on airfare but sometimes still need to compromise with my travel mates available slot. Also, AA ain't so cheap anymore as compared to last time and consider that there's no direct flight from east msia to most places so I need to spend double air tix fares just to fly to KL and catch another flight to overseas.

Just wondering if you ever go to danang, vietnam? It'll be my next year destination, managed to grab cheap tix from AA. haha perhaps you don't mind to share ur itinerary with me. PM me will do if you have it.. Hahaha thanks!  :peace:

Oh i see, thatwise yrs travel cost will at least another rm400-500 for return air ticket to east malaysia.Try to get local travel mate loh, and seach for those direct flight with cheaper option.

I been to danang about 10 year ago, during that time, AA not yet start flying. It a beach town famous for sand, beach activities, seafood is cheap, but it was not if you come from Kk, or tawau. Actually nothing much they, unless you want like mat salleh women to have a sunbath at the noon. Danang can be tour for 1-2 day only, for better sightseeing u need to catch bus to Hue and Ho Aan , each one can spend at least one to two day, depend on whether u like it or not, family guesthousr was abundance and relatively cheap.

You can check the lyn "travel n living "subforum for more detail. Some travel infor can get fr travelfish.org forum as well.

Any house buyers with 40 years loan? Paying loan till die?
I have 40 years loan. But that is just a net, to have a low monthly payment.

Since it's a full flexi loan, it won't take too long to clear it as long as my financial management is alright.

Btw ur ad is horrible. At least make it smaller and attach it in a different way, like ur sig

basic 5k, after deduct everything nett is around 4290, i got this amount for 2 payslip already.
ptptn- stop paying for now.
cc from 4 cards, rm800 p.m, so basically i'm paying cc + easy rhb 1200 = rm2k p.m.
unifi is shared with housemate. however he will move out coz he got married last month. so i need to get another housemate..and i might pay lower rental and internet fee too.. and since i still have another one year contract left..if break contract still need to pay. and not sure how to remove those internet, as i work with computers and internet..

if i were to sell the car, i need to top up at least 10k to cover the loan balance.resale value vary bad for proton. not quite sure how this is gonna work. but nowadays i rarely use car. only bike..of course before this i was thkinking to sell the car, but since the resale value very bad, i keep using it lah..

ya..gym membership if can transfer is a good thing too..but still, one year left.

misc like top up/shampoo/deodorant etc other utilities... around 200.

so normally, after i paid all those things, i'm left with rm650 for daily expenses ...i already doing this for many months now..

i'm evaluating my options now. because i'm only left with 1k savings..deswai thinking so hard how to settle this, if i have 10k in my hand, i don't really mind living like this for a few years until all paid up..
maybe i could sell some of my stuff to raise some money as savings.
i was hoping on two things for next year.
salary increment this january(i;m paid lower than market btw).. it's a promised from my director...he knows i'm having a problem, so he said he will try to push the management for higher salary, so far, i got increment every 6 months, and this year alone, an increment 1k from 4k.
bonus end of march. normally 2months.

or change job. Last may i went for interview got 8k offer. but that time quite f***ed up because of family problem. so i declined.
but i love my job here..i've been here for almost 4 years and i don't think i will change job anytime soon..my carreer here is booming... director keep pushing me coz he wanted to promote me to senior position..but i'm still not ready leh..
dunno how long im gonna take to pay all these debts.. and i still need to get married..not yet lah..maybe in a few years time..

Sell your gym membership here: https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/817206
already in deep big shit trouble you still don't take the effort to look for ways for reduce your expenses then no one can help you. don't know why a lot of ppl need to select expensive classy gym etc. mine is just less than rm80 per month and it took me 6 mths of consideration before signing up (yes I'm stingy, but i try to treat myself well from time to time).

btw, can teach how you go from 2k to 5k in just 4 years? this is my 10th working year already and i'm only making slightly more than you. and i work like a crazy bee too.

The problem here is choice - lifeSTYLE instead of LIFEstyle
Thanks to marketing parasitic brainwashers - U deserve the best, NOW.. + lemming mentality of typical ConsUmers.

Good also lar - no big spenders & borrowers, how to move the economy and make investors rich, right? sweat.gif
I'd say good work & carry-on to these big hearted & big spenders notworthy.gif

Hey guys,

I'm fresh out of university and fresh into a white collar job. Financially, I'm in a good state; I track my spending and I budget all of my money. I save up money to use for investing and to use for things that I enjoy. I live well within my means and I have an emergency fund prepared.

I attended a crash course recently aimed towards first time home buyers (don't worry, I don't plan on buying one anytime soon). One of the speakers mentioned that having a good credit rating can greatly help with your bargaining power with the bank. He then suggested that we get a credit card to start building our credit rating from now. I'll find something with little to no annual fees (or one with low requirements to waive the fee), avoid all the late payment interest and use it entirely just to build credit. I am aware that having a credit card does not give me free money, it's simply an alternate way of using money I already have.

Is this a good idea or a bad idea?

Yes, you should create a good credit report, try maybank 2cards, min income 2k permonth, use the card wisely like petrol, grocery, dining but must pay monthly bill on time with full amount. smile.gif

Having a good credit rating is more than just having a few credit cards. Check here for the 5 things banks look for in housing loan applicants :

good luck and hope it helps! smile.gif
