This English paper is easier than I thought.
Expected formal letter to come out and it did.

Just asking, which question did you choose for Section B?

I shaded the answers for Sec A but forgot to check them . Oh well .

My summary was messy . Cancelled here , corrected this , added that . Hope the examiner can see what I'd written .

I enjoyed writing a formal letter , last it came out , 2002 . Many great comebacks this year . I'd expect other subjects to be like that .

Anyway , enjoy the 4/5 days-break guys !

I wrote that Colin convinced Robbo to read the story with everyone so everyone got to learn from Richard and relay their own experiences. Actually wrote Claudia pointing the book out but last minute cancel cuz wasn't sure whether it was Claudia. (It was)

What essay did you guys write? I wrote "Truly Malaysian".
I never read any essay like that before and I just wrote what I have in my brain! Very original story

Yep. the alone story

I wrote about 'Truly Malaysian' , dabbled around the fact that I'm of mixed parentage torn between cultures , etc . Overall it was okay . I finished my formal letter pretty quickly --- didn't elaborate that much , around 2 pages only .

Not sure why I had some time left over for paper 1 today, usually I'm rushing until the end. Maybe because I actually made a rangka this time and didn't just write as I came up with things.

Section A was about 600 words (two and a half pages including addresses) and Section B was about 1200-1400 words (about six pages I think). I wrote number 4, which was the one with "and so I became a better person."

Wrote the tuition essay haha. Not willing to take risk. Sticking with factual essays

-Talked about Claudia but only 3 paragraphs because I memorized answer sheet from revision book.

-Didn't expect formal letter to come out and I didn't prepared for it.

-Section 2 I wrote about tuition but the points are limited because of time constrain.

-Paper 2 was easy but extremely tricky. Some had to read the question twice only can answer.

How did you elaborate the points for your formal letter ? I didn't do it the standard way [ content in first sentence , elaboration in the other ] . I just fit the content point in my elaboration to keep things short . And I wrote a weird address for the Town Council , haha .

I sounded like a b**** in my letter of complain. hope the examiner won't mind. It was also around two pages long. Everyone in my school were expecting report or article. But I think i got the format right...

Now that you mention it , I didn't . 'cause the question wants you to mention the points given , unlike in a speech where they say you can add points . Plus I didn't want to spend too much time on directed writing . I 'goreng'ed that my elder sister nearly fainted due to the awful stench emanating from the public toilets .

I thought we have to use the exact notes given. I tried so hard to make those words fit in my sentence. Lol then baru perasan we can edit the notes given

Lol. I didn't too, cuz I knew that my section B would take a lot of time. I did say that I won't bring my children there unless they cut the grass though. Haha

I did it pretty much the same way. I split each point into a different paragraph, added a bit of embellishments. I referenced the snake in almost every paragraph. I enjoyed writing it. I like to feel like an angry complaining aunty for awhile.
