I have my three hour siesta every single day , I've been doing this since I was three . Can't imagine myself without it to be honest . I think I'm used to it , I don't have grogginess or whatsoever after half an hour of rebooting my brain .

Yea, lots to read for Biology. I'll most likely spend a huge portion of the time reading Biology experiments. Physic and Chem experiments are okay, but Biology experiments are... ugh... too many and too long. Plus, I don't feel safe not reading those that already came out cry.gif

Anyways, my math teacher said that it is very dangerous to do plans and elevations in Math as the marking is very strict. He says they have a perfectly draw plan on a tracing paper which they use to mark it and if your off, your screwed. Was wondering if anyone's teachers told them the same thing? And anyone doing plans? I seem to find Earth as a Sphere annoying.
*
Really ? So cruel ? What if a student doesn't have / can't afford a proper ruler ? Is your Maths teacher an examiner ?

I do all the questions by the way , just to be sure . I've only drawn plans twice , once in Trials , another in Gerak Gempur .

Physics

1. A is more than B
2. A > B

which answer your teacher recommends you to write in SPM ?
*
- A is more than B
- A is more
- A > B

All three are accepted . I use the third one in structured questions ( saves time ) , but the 2nd in essay questions ( 'cause sometimes it'll be very long , rephrasing the question ) . SPM Physics requires short answers .

@MaximR time to do it! biggrin.gif
But one does simply bring in p3 books/internet references and copy like no tomorrow tongue.gif

If only laptop and internet are allowed for p3......  brows.gif
*
Nothing more can be said ( I don't want to stress out myself and the others ) , but it's safe to say that I can leave aside Physics , Chem , Add Maths , Maths for now . smile.gif

I think for the next part , it would be Sejarah .

Just double checked , for Plans and Elevations , your measurements can fall within the range of 0.2 cm for lengths , and 1 deg for angles .

cuzuamazing No , it can still be used . Physics doesn't test our grammar .

Just a quick question , do you guys practise Modern Maths for the time being ?

Anyway , I'll reduce my visits to this thread nearing SPM as I just want to relax and clear my mind off any mental stimulation or distractions . I've been receiving a lot of messages about forecast questions and 'leaked questions' and I've deleted them all . Anybody who wants to contact me can do so via FB .

Also , I will only add your name to the Candidates List if and only if you've been here , and your posts in this thread must exceed 10 ( I've been receiving a lot of PM's from silent readers , I don't think I can add all of them here ) .

work_tgr , any changes in the mark scheme , if any , will be minimal . LPM wants to test students' mastery in the subjects , not their prowess in memorising answering techniques .

In Physics , diagrams are allowed to explain a certain phenomenon ( e.g refraction of waves as they approach the shore , or explanation on the formation of pattern of water waves under a ripple tank ) and marks are awarded accordingly . There are no strict rules ( tables , essay , point form can all be used ) --- and I'm very sure of that . In these 2 years , I've incessantly questioned SPM markers and attended workshops conducted at school , and all of them point towards the same thing . If you want even more confirmation , take a look at Trial papers' mark schemes .

A > B is always accepted because it's a universal mathematical symbol , and universal mathematical symbols are always accepted in Physics SPM .

In chemistry, can you replace terms like molecules, ions with particles. For example, the rate of collision between the particles increases instead of the rate of collision between zinc atom and hydrogen ions? Also, in certain experiments is it necessary to state the volume and molarity?
*
I always write the exact name of the particle .

Yes , neutralisation / standard solution and R.O.R experiments require you to specify the volume and concentration of the solution ( s ) used . However , if the term 'beaker' , 'measuring cylinder' or 'test tube' is used , volume is not required .

What about in qualitative analysis of salts? Btw, do u attempt all the essay questions?
*
No , both volume and concentrations are not necessary but I normally provide them .

Yes , I attempt all essay questions in all three sciences . But in SPM I think I'd do only 2 if I'm really confident with my answers , then spend all the time left checking and re-checking .

For plans and elevations , what do you use ? Set squares ?

Do you label the lengths ( which are not needed ) and the letters , like J/K , L/M ?

MaximR or any other students, How do you normally study moral? as there are no past year papers to do...?

SBP and other trial state papers?
*
I have a bunch of trial papers from the year 2012/2011 . Before exams I just look through . Of course , memorising the definisi / KK is important too . What I'd normally do is spend some time cramming all the definisi into my head , then start 'reading' trial papers .

Good luck !

Seems impossible to spot karangan topics for the recent years... I'm REALLY hoping my mind doesn't go blank during the exam because there's not a lot of preparation I can do for BM 1.
*
Here are some , spotted by my BM teacher :

1 . Faedah menabung
2 . Langkah / Kepentingan Pelancongan
3 . Ciri / Faktor Kecemerlangan Anak-anak / Pelajar
4 . Usaha pupuk minat membaca
5 . Peranan ibu bapa memupuk patriotisme
6 . Langkah balas jasa guru

Seems pretty good to me , I think I might just prepare points , pendahuluans and penutups based on these topics . If none of them comes out , I can add in some of the points I've prepared , and 'goreng' them to perfection . tongue.gif

Thanks! It does coincide with the topics my teacher gave, however she also spotted all the MARA questions. I noticed that MARA and SBP questions last year did not come out for SPM, so not sure about the chances.
*
And what are the questions , if you don't mind sharing / have the time to share .

By the way the feeling that I have currently , I can't seem to explain it . Calm , feeling prepared and unprepared at the same time .

QUOTE(mingisms @ Oct 31 2013, 08:50 PM)
Last year's BM problem was largely because of the section A (question asked for activity, people hurai faedah). Section B had a question on faedah program motivasi and most people wrote faedah terhadap diri which is counted as only one isi.

Always be sure to triple check and quadruple check the question. At the end of each paragraph, remember to kaitkan your paragraph with the kehendak soalan. If they don't specify, don't write specfically. By this I mean:

Assuming the question is "pihak yang bertanggungjawab memupuk semangat patriotisme" and you only write about peranan ibu bapa for 5 isi, it will only be counted as one.

I know it seems simple, but sometimes we can get too excited and forget that the question is not necessarily the same as the one we did.
*
Ooh I see . So faedah program motivasi kepada semua pihak ? I thought Q1 should be dimensi diri where you talk more about yourself ?

Anyway thanks for the share !

QUOTE(mingisms @ Nov 1 2013, 07:02 PM)
I write like this:

Salah satu nilai yang terdapat dalam petikan ialah nilai kasih sayang (no specification, but specification is also fine). Contohnya, isteri Kapten Mamat menunjukkan kasih sayangnya terhadap Masnah yang kehilangan suami dengan memicit-micit kepalanya.

It may not be necessary to write the whole "salah satu nilai" part, but I like to see complete answers so... hahaha.

Contoh is a MUST though.

For pengajaran, it does have to be quite specific, but no contoh is needed.
*
Please write menyayangi instead of menunjukkan kasih sayangnya . Same goes for nilai's like kerajinan and kegigihan .

By the way I'm sensing paranoia and panic in some of the posts here , which reinforces the fact that I should stay out for a while --- trying to preserve my indifference towards SPM at the moment .
