leng2, u can go for a budget & very good sound from Philips hp890 or Hp895. Around RM200 from shopping mall. Eric, Different headphone apply different Ω to drive wif media player. Here are samples of some great sound headphone from this URL http://www.51erji.com/Article/ShowArticle.asp?ArticleID=13Grado 325/32Ω (no need headamp) Senn HD600/300Ω (Need Headamp) Beyerdynamic DT831/250Ω (Reviewer said it is good oredi, strangely) AKG K501/120Ω (Need Headamp) The above article give some pretty interesting description on each headphone sound signature from 4 Big Brands. Now, i know how to promote the Grado sound much better in Chinese.

We treating it as hobby, sometimes hobby does burn some $$ Being an audiophile is better than be alcoholic, computer hardware enthutiastic and car top speed maniac, It's safe and less money spent compare to those I mentioned Want some accurate headphone? Try AKG K240DF, heard that it's the most uncolored AKG headphone and it's 600ohm, mainly design for studio monitoring, K240M is another alternative ~~~ You should try these This post has been edited by GodLuvSxS: Jun 16 2006, 09:49 AM

He's a 8 weeks old smart little guy, negotiable till around RM850 COD in KL or Ipoh This post has been edited by GodLuvSxS: Jun 16 2006, 10:21 AM

Top secret = flame bait. Just keep it to myself Anything better? Stax? Hehe... I guess I will wasting my time selling Stax in Malaysia even I can get good price from Japan. Look at our buyers buying power and exposure to music reproduction you already know.

Then must be one of your product is better than this K240m, actually I thought of recomend leng2 go for HP1000 just that I'm not sure it's suitable for music producing or not, it's detail is way better than my HF-1 when amp with LDIII, soundstage is great and just the mid is recessed abit compare to it, I was thinking to do recable to make the mid greater, any idea? Oh ya, you did open the HP1000 before right? Me hand itchy peel off the thin layer paper to try how it sounds since mine had passed the warranty, the sound ends up too harsh, wondering what kind of paper material they are using, wanna paste the layer back

You will notice lot of musician and radio DJ use them. I saw wang Lihom use Akg too.

Did you remove the black cloth or the soft black spounge that siting inside the phone chamber? I have no idea how to put it back

Each type of headphones have their own characteristic to best work in their environment. DJs are not using DJ headphone then they must be joking themselves in their career. Any reason they are not using it? QUOTE(airbag_grado @ Jun 16 2006, 01:12 PM) akg k240df,k240m are meant for professional studio monitoring. You will notice lot of musician and radio DJ use them. You won't be surprice that 240 might be anytime cheaper than some of the Philips, Sennheiser or BeyerDynamic.

I have no idea how to put it back I didnt remove the black cloth or the black spounge, the layer sounds to me it's the one which makes the sounds muffled, once remove it then I starting to feel regret, it's too harsh to my ears! I just have to find out what's tracing paper of and then DIY and put it back! I believe my baby could offer me much more, I'll keep on trying more tricks to get the best out of her
