Top secret = flame bait.
Just keep it to myself Anything better? Stax? Hehe... I guess I will wasting my time selling Stax in Malaysia even I can get good price from Japan. Look at our buyers buying power and exposure to music reproduction you already know. |

QUOTE(GodLuvSxS @ Jun 16 2006, 11:02 AM) Then must be one of your product is better than this K240m, actually I thought of recomend leng2 go for HP1000 just that I'm not sure it's suitable for music producing or not, it's detail is way better than my HF-1 when amp with LDIII, soundstage is great and just the mid is recessed abit compare to it, I was thinking to do recable to make the mid greater, any idea? Oh ya, you did open the HP1000 before right? Me hand itchy peel off the thin layer paper to try how it sounds since mine had passed the warranty, the sound ends up too harsh, wondering what kind of paper material they are using, wanna paste the layer back Err hemm... no comment Thank you for your brave move experimenting by removed the tracing paper, I should avoid doing so on my HP1000. Did you remove the black cloth or the soft black spounge that siting inside the phone chamber? I have no idea how to put it back |

QUOTE(leng2 @ Jun 16 2006, 11:28 AM) a few of my forum mates (who are also signed artistes) advised me not to get dj headphones as they're not meant for producers... i suppose they have their reasons as some of them are djs also... Each type of headphones have their own characteristic to best work in their environment. DJs are not using DJ headphone then they must be joking themselves in their career. Any reason they are not using it? QUOTE(airbag_grado @ Jun 16 2006, 01:12 PM) akg k240df,k240m are meant for professional studio monitoring. You will notice lot of musician and radio DJ use them. I saw wang Lihom use Akg too. AKG have good marketing on selling their headphones are way below market price to the Pro Studio. You won't be surprice that 240 might be anytime cheaper than some of the Philips, Sennheiser or BeyerDynamic. |

QUOTE(GodLuvSxS @ Jun 16 2006, 02:56 PM) I didnt remove the black cloth or the black spounge, the layer sounds to me it's the one which makes the sounds muffled, once remove it then I starting to feel regret, it's too harsh to my ears! I just have to find out what's tracing paper of and then DIY and put it back! I believe my baby could offer me much more, I'll keep on trying more tricks to get the best out of her You can mimicking the Sennheiser HD650 design.Remove the black cloth, the black spounge and try out... expected result (in my mind |

QUOTE(Akabane@DrJackel @ Jun 16 2006, 11:21 PM) Just went. All the music damn nice in MPO Carmen, Divertissement, Bolero... fuiyo. The noice floor for the hall damn low. No resonance at all. QUOTE(leng2 @ Jun 17 2006, 12:31 AM) that is not always the case... trust me. what makes a dj headphone is they're able to produce strong, non-distorted bass kick... allowing nice beatmatching to be done. high end headphones on the other hand provide excellent acoustic isolation. yes, dj headphones are usually more solid built, but then again, it's not all... so, would you foul out the rule that djs never use a high end headphone for dj'ing? OK... let me try to find which DJs not using DJ headphones while they are performing mixing, except those sitting in the studio. Perhaps we can asking two DJs in this forum to give their comment. |

QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Jun 17 2006, 09:23 AM) What do you mean? Concert halls usually have up to 2 seconds of reverb time to allow sounds to bloom Hmm... is it? I went in the hall quite early during pretalk session. I just feel that nothing really resonance back even my foot steps. The whole atmosphere just quite like wearing noise cancellation earphone (not noice cancellation plugs). |

QUOTE(GodLuvSxS @ Jun 22 2006, 09:53 AM) I would dream to open a headphone store selling Sennheiser, Grado, AKG and Beyerdynamic ~~~ then incorperate with some DIYer building some head amp for my business There are 3 HiFi shops and myself want to invest to open a Head-Fi shop, after some business simulation & discussions, buyers education and market structure. Opening a Head-FI shop in Malaysia either in prime area or less running cost area sure it will fail. But I got to start with low and mid budget headphone first Grado ==== Sr60 (Introduction) Sr225 (Entry) AKG === K26p & K18dj (Portable) K501 (Nice for new age music) Sennheiser ======= PX100 & PMX100 (Portable) HD555, HD595 & HD580 (Nice mid level) Guess what ~~~ then putting some high level cans for poisoning, DT880, K701, HD650, RS1 & etc |

Philips product all item is international warranty. Just walk in the item to service center, you will have the service.
*HP1000 since day one, they don't produce any warranty card. Some of my Sennheiser do come with warranty card, some don't. You can send directly to Singapore service center and mention my name (before send, need to contact me first). They will attend to you. OK? This post has been edited by DAViS: Jul 21 2006, 10:39 AM |

Sonyman,
You need to have a quiet room to show the real potential of HD650. |
