I strongly agree UOB are lenient in approving CC application. MBB is getting more selective nowadays. As for your case, MBB might require you to pledge FD in order to be approved !

The best way, sell whatever you feel can reduce the amount. Buy less, pay more for few years and not pay the minimum amount. Otherwise forever you will be in debts.

Yes I agree uob is easy as my fren from Got rejected by citibank 4 his 1st card but uob approved but he made the application on roadshow at shopping complex.

maybe you can try to do balance transfer from another bank to pay off your current cc outstanding.

how much is ur outstanding? I think better borrow from family to settle it.

i would like to ask if I made an application on Monday this week, when will I get to know the results? the officer at the bank told me 2 weeks...but I m not the patient kind of person. can I ask on the Friday of tht week itself? I m afraid it will affect my chances of getting the cc.

You may try MBB maybankard cemter at KLCC, 1U or Mid Valley where they can process within 60 minutes... Or if you prefer RHB , visit them at KLCC (10 mins) . Others normally take 2 weeks.

I know...but the 1 hour or 10 mins is for those basic have 2k n above use epf contributions... I hv 2 k bcuz got overtime and allowance plus fixed bonus. thts y need go thru normal process... if I ask tomorrow do u think it is ok? Received my replacement Visa Petronas card from Maybank recently... noticed that there's no more 'payWave' logo.
Called their CS to ask about this and was told that they are no longer offering the payWave feature.
Shucks.. just when I found a place to use the payWave feature regularly without fail; namely at aeon supermarket 1utama. The transaction was always smooth and fast.

Is there a way to check cc application status online? I called the officer n he said cld only let me noe by Monday or Tuesday.

You can Check the Status thru Maybank2U Online Banking Service if You got Online Account with Them
Or Not, Only can Know Your Status by Calling Customer Service or Receiving Letter from MBB...
