anime if avi no problem got homebrew.. the thing is i guess u still need to convert it to psp size for best quality.. and since ur watchining anime.. u probably need very large storage MSPD which is very exp..
otherwise watching show with psp is really a great experience..
if u buy value pack and giga pack i think got give earphone..
but sure cannot compare to exp earphone la..
playing mp3 with psp speaker a little lousy..
with earphone sound juz like mp3 player lo..

u can buy any PSP juz as long as the firmware is lower than 2.71 and not a TA-082.... if u dont know what is TA-082 ... juz go to google then go image then search for TA-082 then u will know what i mean

how to see recycled PSP? ... check the serial number of the PSP (take out the batt of the PSP) ... and check it together wit the box ... but then also can be recycled ... anyway ... if its recycled and then ntg wrong wit it also ok ma ... but then make sure u get it in a cheaper price lo ...

ooo yah .... there is another way ... on side of the box ... there is the code one ... below the voltage there there is a letter ... for example A,B,C,D ... which is suppose to states the firmware of the PSP... lets say A is 1.5 or something like tat ... to find out more ... go to www.pspupdates.com and search for "know the firmware" ....

coz A is the 1st batch and stuff like tat ... its impossible to get a "A" batch now coz PSP has been in the market for a long time ...

well FYI, i accidentally bought a recon set (damn it!)..how to know it's recon? check the serial number if it matches with the one on the box. anyway the serial number is at the bottom of the PSP. there'll be a white sticker stating the serial number and also its region. (I don't think it's at the battery area like jamezco mentioned, well there's a serial number there, but that's not for the PSP I think) . I checked my serial number with the box and guess what? there's no serial number on the box! it's supposed to be on a sticker pasted on the box, but in this case, perhaps the seller already pealed it off, heh.

plus, when I remove the battery from my PSP, there's a sticker stating 'refurbished'. hurmmm 100% confirmed recon then, lol.

however the 2nd method won't work if the seller already remove the 'refurbished' sticker also. so , beware~
not sure, last time I went and ask for a giga pack it's already out of stock. the only difference is giga pack have 1GB memory stick, a small plastic PSP stand, and also a USB cable. you can always get the memory stick separately for a lower price. plus, 1GB is not enough if you plan to play ahem games. please correct me if I'm wrong, thanks

AtMostFear ... Inside the batt (after you take out the batt) got a serial number and also on the bottom of the PSP.... if you look properly ... the serial number matches the one wit the box and also the bottom of the PSP ....

Urs dont have is because ur PSP has been opened b4 ... when you open the PSP... the sticker behind has to be removed because there is a screw behind which u need to take out ....

here's the deal. jus check out the store again. and once again my bricked psp is with me. the guy offer me a new psp. ONLY the psp, i believe is 2.5 downgraded to 1.5 version. price is 650. while repairing cost 400, which one should i go for? a new psp or let him fix?

and for the memory sticks. 2gb will be 200, and 4gb rm480, get 2 2gb or 1 4gb memory stick??
