wah, need to put so big meh? din know ta082 can use homebrew... if possible can u show me the thread? din see it on qj or psphack... bcos usually run homebrew on fw 1.5 or darkalex custom fw 2.71 seb which isn;t applicable for ta082 mobo...

Dude have you ever heard of HENC or Homebrew Enabler Revision C? Dark Alex made this just for the official 2.71 firmware. This is a joy for people with TA-082 running firmware 2.71 so that they can run homebrews including the famous devhook.

Clearly you didn't do your research thoroughly. All sites that you've mentioned do have all infos about HENC.

since ver 2.71 oredi can run homebrew using HENC, y ppl stil rushing to get / downgrade to 1.5 (golden firmware). I don't get it. Pls clarify sifu

as i mentioned earlier...i am using TA-082 board and using firmware version 2.71 and have no problems with homebrew games at all...

I'm still remember when I'm selling the psp first batch .. all people been searching for the "Sharp LCD screen" and complaining a lot of "samsung lcd screen" has dead and stuck..


lucky now this problem is over.

cos HENC is not 'complete'. can run ahem games, but cannot run all homebrews. i think ultimately can wan, but need to emulate 1.5 and sometimes that crashes my psp. in short, HENC got a lot of limitations.

The best firmware at the moment is 2.71SE-B'' which support 2.71 homebrews as well as 1.50 homebrews. That's why people with 1.50 firmware migrating to 2.71SE-B'' firmware. The best of the feature for me is running games without any umd (although the compatibility is not 100%). Don't need to use devhook annymore.

It also have Recovery Mode which can unbrick your PSP if you've done something wrong like messing around with the files inside the flash0 which I did before.

As for HENC, at the moment not many devs are developing or porting their apps to 2.71 compliant homebrews. Most of them still prefer to develope their apps for 1.0 and 1.5 firmwares. Still HENC can run all your backup games with no problems.

If you're referring to homebrews, HENC doesn't need original UMD to run any 2.71 compliant homebrews but devhook does.

Homebrews means applications made by third party/parties that are not endorsed officially by Sony. They can be games, utilities or launchers/loaders and etc.

So devhook is a homebrew application. IRShel is a homebrew application. There are a lot of homebrews out there for PSP even for PS2, XBox and other consoles.

Read the documentation for 2.71SE. Everything is explained in there. Don't be lazy. Get the real 2.71SE package from Dark Alex not from other sources.

dude where got DevX it's DevHook. Any original will do but not movie even a sampler disc will do.
