Ouch. WorldMiles annual income requirement now increased to 100,000. (8333 per month).
Else this would be fantastic offer to take up.

Seriously SC card cancellation is so troublesome..

I have to settle my balance before cancellation.. WTH.. Is not even the statement date yet ~ PBB and CIMB never ask me to settle the balance before cancel..

After settle need to call up again to cancel.. Now ask me to wait for their call back to cancel..

This would be my 1st and last time applying SC card.

Seems like a growing trend in many banks/cards... offer to retain by downgrade to gold card. Had same experience with and HLB over the past few months.

seriously? i mean... can cancel before settling? i live in a world where rule #1 to cancel cc is to settle outstanding balance.

yes, the 2nd part is annoying... but my understanding is... all the banks that way.

How many days it takes to cancel SC card? 1 week or should I say 5 working days..

Funds Transfer from SC SAVINGS to Settle SC CARD- One Day to clear - I did call and ask, said must wait the transaction to clear.. Zzz

Call and submit request - one day

Wait them to call back - another 3 days..

My experience with PBB and CIMB -- ONE SINGLE DAY.. . And yea CIMB cancel without me settling first..

if you check this link: https://www.sc.com/my/campaign/cashBackGold...ipal/index.html

don't fully trust the table on how to maximise your cashback... especially when it suggested you to use rm1k to get cb 5% cap at rm50 (that is a lie).

if you use only rm1k, you actually fall under the category of 3% (not 5%) and so your effective cb will drop to 2.5% only.

Got that yesterday.... Since it's low risk of winning, I participated with 3 small spends using SCB Online Banking Bill Payment
