Nice graphic card Trying really hard to enjoy battlefield 4 right now, but its so glitchy (artifacting, sound issues, crash) that I only get to play 1 full game out of every 2 I join.
Also, during some big levolution moments (e.g. the crashing bridge in Dawnbreaker's C point), my whole pc slows down like in the Matrix. (once the levolution completes it returns to normal) Is this related to the lack of PhysX on AMD cards ? But it plays smooth as hell in Paracel Storm with all the water and storm stuff going on. Graphic settings are all in ultra except AA at 4x. (1920x1080) Vertical sync is turned on as well.

On a side note: HUGE fan of Dawnbreaker and Operation Locker

no. AFAIK BF 4 did not implement Nv Physx. But the engine itself depends on CPU for physx calculation. even mine get drop down to low fps at 30 when i'm nearing a vehicle with alot of smokes and particle before it blown up

Need your expert advice. I was planning to get r9 290 non X but I came across these reviews. I got worried that it doesn't perform well. I need your opinion on this. I used to use 560 ti but due to their terrible driver and the card problem, I'm planning to change to AMD card.

The R9-290 at its price point is definitely a good card to have. Yup the card do runs hot and it's pretty noisy at full load. Though it's a significant upgrade from your 560ti and the driver right now is pretty stable. Plus the 4GB of vram should be gold if you wanna play with a multi monitor setup.
