The R9-290 at its price point is definitely a good card to have. Yup the card do runs hot and it's pretty noisy at full load. Though it's a significant upgrade from your 560ti and the driver right now is pretty stable. Plus the 4GB of vram should be gold if you wanna play with a multi monitor setup.

Yup , the Merc Alpha if i'm not mistaken is a mid tower case right.? Definitely needs at least more than two fans as the card runs quite hot under load. I had personal experience running two fans with my old CM 343 Elite and the card ran very hot.

At least put two fans at the top side just to make it run cooler

Yup , quad core is always better than dual core

R9-290, it's a bit hot but it's supposed to run that way in order to maximised its performance. Make sure you have a case with good airflow and you're set.

The cheapest I saw is Gigabyte R9-290 which is around RM1449. Can look at the garage sales just to confirm

U can scratch the coupon to get the code and activate it origin. The price depends on how much u wanna sell it. Try and survey in gaming section to see how much they sell the digital version.
