Do I need to get extra fans for my Bitfenix Merc Alpha for Sapphire 7870XT?
Currently only has one casing fan

My speculation on the retail price was dead on, RM2199 for R9-290X. Anyhow, no one sells them at retail price anyway.
R9-290 really showed up, but not without heat/noise issues.

Guys . .I heard that current R9-280X GC is tahiti XT2 ah?
Worth to wait for the XLT to be released?
Currently ordering R9-280X Toxic sapphire . .

Btw, I'm getting bsod every time I installed a beta driver on my Windows 8 even thought I use Atiman Uninstaller, any suggestions?

Atiman Uninstaller support Windows 8 now? Last time it didn't and i switched to Driver Fusion. hmm.gif

After I install Driver Fusion, now I can't even install the drivers as it will always fail instead of a bsod now ==

Lol, try install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and check/remove any remaining Catalyst/CCC/AMD entry after you removed the software in Control Panel.

The beta version just wont install no matter what, tried driver fusion, driver sweeper, atiman uninstaller, manually deleting ATI Program Files folder, ATI Appdata folder, ATI registry entries..
The WHQL version installs without a problem though

Yup , the Merc Alpha if i'm not mistaken is a mid tower case right.? Definitely needs at least more than two fans as the card runs quite hot under load. I had personal experience running two fans with my old CM 343 Elite and the card ran very hot.

At least put two fans at the top side just to make it run cooler nod.gif

Yeah, removed everything with AMD
Atiman is also not easy to install, as installation always fails even after I disabled UAC , reboot and run as admin

I have to leave the side case open to get lower temps lol
