Nope. 60 minutes approval is not available on public holidays and weekends. Tried it 2 weeks ago. Have to pick up card 2 days later

Maybankard 2 Cards are FREE For Life, so if you can qualify, the application only takes up your time.

To ALL:

Check out my article My Bragging Rights and My Credit Cards 2014 and you'll get to see my "new Maybank" Platinum Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX. No more "Maybankard" printed on it.

Got the new AMEX replacement card because my card was used for two unauthorized transactions, click here to read my article AGAIN A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That.

And if you are new to this thread starting from V1, check out my article A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That, where I briefly mentioned why we should have the Maybank2U Savers or Saver-i Online Savings Account, especially for those who have more than RM2K in their Savings or Current Account at any time to pay for our Maybankard 2 Cards bills. And then click here to my article The Best Savings Account in Malaysia and see other banks' Savings Account interest rates and you will understand why the M2U Online Saver or Saver-i account is really good.

Guys, im really confused now. I want to know whats going on. Every month, i pay the outstanding balance showed in my m2u site. But how come every month the outstanding and statement balance still is very different apart? For example:

This is the highlight of both cards:

Attached Image

And this is the statement for both cards:

So, when i pay outstanding EACH month, and ON time..why is it still bringing forward stuff?
My hard copy statement is the same as the statement balance as above.

Which am i to pay? i dont want to keep over-paying for stuff.
And i rather just pay up all, instead of minimum, or partial or what ever so.

thanks guys!

Unless you use or swipe any of the cards, then your outstanding and statement balance should be the same.

You must clear the statement balance by statement due date.

Outstanding balance will be updated once your statement balance is being cleared off and becomes zero provided if no further swipes are being performed.

You're not required the cleared the outstanding amount till next bill cycle. Outstanding balance is your real time balance.

What do you mean? I obviously have to use the card for it to get charged?

You must clear the statement balance by statement due date.
I always pay it off by the 15th (Which is when i receive my hard copy statement)

Why make it so hard to understand? It's so straight forward.

On statement date, if no swipe posted after the statement date, then outstanding balance == statement balance

If you haven't clear your statement balance AND you swipe more after the statement date, then outstanding balance == statement balance + new swipes (after statement date)

If you have cleared the statement balance AND new swipes made after statement date, then outstanding balance == amount of new swipes posted after statement date

Still confusing? rclxub.gif

to avoid such confusion, every month just pay the statement balance instead of outstanding balance.
besides, you won't be charged on interest as those amount is not due yet.

Statement Balance will never same with Outstanding Balance, if you keep on using the card..

Statement Balance is the amount you need to pay to the bank within 20 days of the statement date, if you dont want to be charged any interest..

Outstanding Balance is the total amount you still owe the bank..

if you still dont understand the difference, i suggest you just paid any amount shown in outstanding balance everytime you login maybank2u until it shown RM0.. you can IGNORE at all the statement balance..
