still remember I pakai my lvl 90+ evade Assassin(those days max is lvl 99, no 3rd class sh*t) train teh Dark lord to kill people in the middle AFk/chatting.
still remember use Assassin train many skeleton + lembu kat pyramid entrance, keep everyone outside or die inside.... ahh those good days of watching people lose 3% exp and rage..... so much win... |

iRO free, got wing and creamy, and tele ~10sp, and I got few ~105, ranger, ab, and RG actually. Bot, got, but not as many as eRO, but their RO version is 14.1.3, the mora version, eRO is ~13.2 renewal, ~ el dicastes.

I also got play eRO in Iris back in beta when "Legion" is the top guild, back in Dreamsky, haha, I'm the first few crusaders in eRO when crusaders came out, after Dreamsky I stop, at end of 2004, was from DreamSpeakers guild, but don't remember seeing any Samantha.
I play iRO, got alot of lv 110s, rangers, priests, rgs, sura, but now I rarely play, now playing Star Trek Online & Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty & Swarm campaign, if you got ET in Malaysia waking time you can call me, I want earn some $ also, got my rangers, priests, rgs to join. I remember when I was botting with my knight a GM caught me and banned my account, but fortunately there was a server rollback the next day which caused my character to be unbanned.
I log in and find my character trapped in a small square in an unknown area, and have to message a GM to let me out, which they did. |

old tered i dont mind getting bumped.
one of the many things RO taught me is not to fall for scams. it only took me once to lose my matyr card boots, my most precious belonging at that time to get a sword with 3 SS card only to be duped. the experience have such impact that i never getting duped with too good to be true offers inside and outside of the game until now. i still remember the feeling of heartbreak when it happens.. among the busy crowd in the middle of the city of prontera. |

Stop playing when subscription required. After that playing at private server and found a way to hack Zeny using a program called gamemaster. Hack till have trillions of zeny and can sapu all the items other people selling at that Prontera or whatsoever like a bawse.
Tried at other private servers and it works also. But dunno can work or not at those official servers...... Those sweet old days...... |

RO is one of the reasons my childhood is awesome!..
i started to play RO with sakray server.. free to play.. i got 1 rubbish knight (because it was my first char, so i put the stats point on everything lol) and 1 awesome assassin (since i know how to play already), and other every job low level chars.. my assassin became my main, almost lvl 80 i think, then sakray closed.. fuu.. and then, new server came out, called RO PK(with player-kill system, cmiiw).. have 1 char, thief lvl 50 if i'm not mistaken.. quit because the PK system really sucks.. when enter dungeon, always got killed by high lvl player.. fuu then, played pirate server.. but still sucks.. whenever i listen the song on utube, i almost cry, everytime lol This post has been edited by harizdesu: Apr 23 2014, 03:08 PM |

WoE: Third Edition just came out, ie the WoE where max only 2nd class can join, the poll for the time on Sunday is being held. The currently highest voted 2 times're( iRO time is -15 hrs behind Malaysia time, as in upper right corner of http://playragnarok.com/ )
8- 9am( +8GMT= Sun 11pm- 12am midnight) & 5- 6pm( +8GMT= Mon 8- 9am). I personally prefer their 12- 1am( our Mon 3- 4pm), but there's no option for it, so nvm. In character guy is those who really know how to have fun. The game itself is a role play genre. Lol that was hilarious. man, stories like this makes me miss ro back in the days. vending pots for 5 zeny profit and acolytes selling warp for 1k zeny outside payon dungeon lol.right now im playing on a new server (started 21june) low rates and no trans classes. they trying to be as classic as possible. so far its fun. everyone doesnt have gear and leeching is nerfed, so everyone pretty much parties. still low population though. hopefully it will grow. |

was walking in town (cant rmmber which already) when a guy came up and offered me thara frog card and he wanted around 30-40k. that timne the value was around 1 mil zeny. i looked at the guy only wearing straw hat and the circling glasses lol, feel pity. that time i was already millionare so i tell him go walk to prontera and sell can get 1 mil. that guy so happy so fast walk prontera lol. and activities with few friends, buy branches(spawn monster), park in front of prontera and spawn monsters. fukken lol see newbie all die. sometimes few guys come want to be hero help kill, we already prepared and spawn more he also die LOL. |

When you're on top of others, U can feel a sense of humor in that situation. Like last time a clueless novice wants to party with us. When my friend (party master) ignores him because we're lvling at Orc place, he insist and try to hit one Orc. When the orc retaliate he has no chance to run. 1 hit KO. then he respawn at nearest town. I was like, "what the fck just happened?" LOL with my friends and move on. Well that's old story. Now, sometimes when I missed the game, I just listen to the OST. dulu punya RO zaman 2003 dulu best lah..then join Sakray server sebab free and high exp skit...after than Sakray server punya exp rate dah turun..join pulak private server (trinityRO,ScytheRO,BlackRO etc) sebab drop and exp rate tinggi...after that jadi bosan sebab too many pvp and godlike item yang kena donate..ahhhh demmm..
but overall,graphic dia still THE BEST.. ! |

I was just looking up for the complete RO BGM that was in the Korean version of RO when I chance upon this Forum topic.
My God, so many old players. I was one of the original Beta Tester when RO came to Malaysia for the first time. My character at that time was "Enorek" I think. It was already more than 10 years. Remembered Maximus and I was there at Lutie for the Red Socks event and saw that Shirou character too. There was this other guy, real name is Daniel. A good player. I wonder where is he now? As for private servers, I have set up one before for my own office internal game. I have never seen so many ppl OT before...Lol.... |

Hi All,
I started playing mRO in 2004 when it was first introduced by my school mate. And I can say this with pride, best time of my life. Playing in Chaos server and even played when it's pay to play but only for a while. Sometimes top up for a month or sometimes 24 hours. Or was it 12 hours? Haha good memories. Made some good and close friends. Continued with private server. Ti-server / Trinity and made some good friends there too! Up until one point where everybody (my circle of friends) decided to quit from that server. I forgot what was the reason for quitting but I think it has something to do with increasing number of people with Godly items. Anyhow, I cherish all the memories and was lucky to make some very good friends. Too bad all now lost contact. Googled around and found this. Manly tears shed More manly tears Cheers and game on guys! |

this game was fun back then when botting is available . Nobody give shit about the leveling.
Besides RO is the hardest to level up compare to other MMO. Unless the have events and etc. Its a very slow pace game, which people get bored about it. Botting then PVP and guildware. Item was easily found if there is botting. I still remember card drop rate is 0.01% literally nuts to get one. Lol |

I really enjoy botting ,
even with bot , it take ages to level up and find items. And i recall all merchant open shop are bots and items are everywhere. Easily could be found. Nowadays a lot of game died because of slow pace. People get bored easily and tend to give up. If gameflier want to make this an success, they should allow people to bot . More bot , more item More item, more players More players , More pvp More pvp , attract more players. Lol All my time playing in ragnarok, the most fun part is PVP guildwares and hunting MVP. Nobody enjoy leveling up in ragnarok, its frustrating and tired. |

Last time i remembered, all the things that gameflier said were nothing but a lip service. They never ban bot. Showing a long list of fake banned bot with silly name to fool the legit players that they care about the game state while all the high level botter guilds were still kicking in the Guild War. It was nice to see the game failed and went out of business last time and now someone try to revive it and hoping for another easy money. Playing private server is better at this point. |

I see bots as a win win situation.
-The players get level up easily. RO is very hard to level up. -Items will be available easily, cheaper. -Good economy, more money will be made in the market. -Could concentrate more on hunting/group-hunting and PVP instead of busy level up. Official server are too proud to admit that sometimes, private server has got it right. Namely, the issue of exp and drop rate. I have nothing against gayfliers, but I do hear lots of rumors about GM cronies who enjoy WoE winnings every week and some dubious items.
I quit official ro because after spending so much on monthly cards, and 3 months of grilling, I only end up with a lvl 80 hunter with wrong stats, wrong skill built, a mediocre +8 Gakkung and begging off items thrown on the floor at prontera and have zero chance in WoE. I tried MVP hunting but at 0.01% card drop, its hopeless. There is 0 skill involved in pvp when you play in official server. So I jumped ship to TrinityRO and never looked back. Within a day I can immediately rise to lvl 99 Sniper and enjoy doing so many things RO has to offer which I nevee had the chance to do in official server. Drop rate were generous at 10% yet still keeping it rare, and somehow makes it worthwhile to hunt mvp the entire day. Its that balance between hard and fun that keeps me playing for 5 years. Of course through the course, I've seen my fair share of wipes, blatant gm abuse, bots, etc. But as honest as I can play, I did not feel weak/hopeless compared to playing in official server. I wish gayfliers all the best for this server though. For me, the only way I'd be playing if the exp rate and drop rate is increased considerably. I have no time to waste 8 hours a day hitting on lunatics and porings. I want to venture to glastheim, abbey, lighthalzen without having to wait months on end. |

Never, reaching lv99 is just the first step, there'll always be MVP, raw material bots. Bot from gameflier pov is indeed money-making but from gaming pov, and your reason is no time, its just pure bollocks if u ask me. RO could have lived much longer if it weren't for BOTS, when you bot, virtual reality speed up few folds players would be too strong, bosses would be too weak, leveling maps would be pointless..in other words 3/4 of a rpg game purpose is denied. game developers would have to constantly come up with new patches to match players capability....sometimes releasing patches that isn't fully viable. And at times developers are just to fedup with balance patch up, they create in balance patches and just toss it at us. all online games are like that, takes time to grind, by right you should cheerish the virtual-journey-experience..all this small little factors are the supposed to be the enjoyable moments of the game to be derive by players. watching how a swordmen/archers get taken down by lowlife zombies in the orc lord village is just plain hilarious and then watching how acolytes have to "berak keluar a tortoise cast time to revive a character" all this small factors...u guys will never know how to enjoy it without bots, gameflier would have earn less definitely..but i believe the game would have live 2 fold longer. anyways get it over with ragnarok, dont reignite memories of my/our old game...TILT i still miss it thou, best rpg for me |

Fact is, despite how low the drop rate or exp rate you're going to put, botting is going to kill the game no matter what. It's not going to discourage anyone, in fact being a F2P game, you'll see one person having >10 bots running around so he/ That moron that says it doesn't affect anyone is clearly one of those people who prefers to profit at the expense of everyone elses fun. Prices will drop, hunting grounds will be literally littered with bots and the age where MVP's will be killed by bots will be back. Remember how bots can be programmed to follow each other? There will be bot mvp hunting parties. No one needs to bother camping for it, it is damn right impossible to go against bots. If you think your private servers are so well maintained and 100x better than an official server, I don't understand why is it you need to come in and justify that. Is it to boost your e-penor? If you don't like it don't play it. It's that simple. No one is forcing you to play a game hosted by a so called shit company. Common sense just hit rock bottom in this thread with idiots trying to justify that wrong is right as long as the majority supports it. Oh, these are also the players who play a MMORPG game but refuse to play with other people in the game. Go figure. |

Another thing that I like to see is a system that encourages and incentivize party play. Like FFXIV, there's that duty finder for dungeons.
Seeing that RO is actually runs in open world area. I was thinking we can click on the entrance and join a makeshift party on the fly, with additional exp/drop rate bonuses with more players and longer periods. Won't that be refreshing? No more need to grind and explore alone. |

Oh my. RO... I remember a time where it took me many months making many assassin classes to figure how to efficiently make an assassin class in about 25h. Constant testing different stats attributes, checking guide books and plan out the best location to grind mobs with good and balance lvl/job exp. Most zenies went into pots. Then botters came which makes life such a pain. Especially those with creamy cards equipped.

My suggestion to you is, do not change the rate. But let people bot. Make yourself the old RO, even in old gameflier management, let players bot but never allow hack to happen. Perhaps you can do some skill reset or Stats reset, others remain the same. Higher change of success. If you change your drop rate to higher, you wont different yourself from a private server. lol |

So having low exp rate, you may have quite a lot of players, but all of them is just casual happy go lucky kill porings type of players. When a few good guilds find no competition in the WOE, they will leave eventually. Might as well play good WOE private server. |

I expect WOE'll come ~3 months after server launch, got events, maybe christmas events, daily login events, fan art event, & maybe Ragnarok World Championship Malaysia & official WOE castle standings.

I hate to say this, but M'sian publisher sucks when it comes to online gaming.

This game is like Nokia. Sure, for nostalgic reason it was memorable because most of us played it more than a decade ago, but if the game stays as it is, it will just dwindle again.

So I've played numerous time in T* server (a very famous international private server) and I don't know how they do it but there's literally 0 bots.
I've played like a year or something and only saw a bot. When I used the world chat about this bot, within minutes, an admin or gm or someone teleported beside me and spawned a crapped tonne of stuff on the bot. |

Its the subscription that kills the game. Botters cant fund their bots... No bots to supply cash for white pots and ygg seeds for daily PVP needs... No pvp no life... quit game
