Official server are too proud to admit that sometimes, private server has got it right. Namely, the issue of exp and drop rate. I have nothing against gayfliers, but I do hear lots of rumors about GM cronies who enjoy WoE winnings every week and some dubious items.

I quit official ro because after spending so much on monthly cards, and 3 months of grilling, I only end up with a lvl 80 hunter with wrong stats, wrong skill built, a mediocre +8 Gakkung and begging off items thrown on the floor at prontera and have zero chance in WoE. I tried MVP hunting but at 0.01% card drop, its hopeless. There is 0 skill involved in pvp when you play in official server.

So I jumped ship to TrinityRO and never looked back. Within a day I can immediately rise to lvl 99 Sniper and enjoy doing so many things RO has to offer which I nevee had the chance to do in official server. Drop rate were generous at 10% yet still keeping it rare, and somehow makes it worthwhile to hunt mvp the entire day. Its that balance between hard and fun that keeps me playing for 5 years. Of course through the course, I've seen my fair share of wipes, blatant gm abuse, bots, etc. But as honest as I can play, I did not feel weak/hopeless compared to playing in official server.

I wish gayfliers all the best for this server though. For me, the only way I'd be playing if the exp rate and drop rate is increased considerably. I have no time to waste 8 hours a day hitting on lunatics and porings. I want to venture to glastheim, abbey, lighthalzen without having to wait months on end.

Never liked the pvp and woe aspect of ragnarok. But I accept that its one of the best interest of most hardcore players. Me, I love doing hats quests and MVP hunting. I feel it is more rewarding and achievable by all level of players. For PvP and WoE, its mostly which guild that has the most money, be it zeny or cash.

I've played RO for a good 10 years of my youth years, and I'm willing to bite. But if they're making 1/1/1 rate, can say goodbye after the beta ends.

Personally I think Archer and Merchant would be the best job for starters. Fast leveling and money maker. Thief is also good since there is minimal need to purchase or carry pots. Swordman sorta gives the advantage of going to more challenging maps, hence minimal competition for loot. Wizards probably the worst to pick as first job. Priest is fun, but you're basically slaving off others loot and leftovers.

But that's just my opinion. Thief would be my top pick.

I believe they do intend on implementing cash topup for this server. Probably using MOL POINTS to convert into RO coins. With those coins, you can purchase headgears, accessories, arrows, random boxes, even perishable items like scrolls, manuals, potions, etc.

Played the PH server last night. Definitely will be having premium items aka item mall in-game. They started last month I think, already have 9k users online on 3 different servers. And not surprising, there's a lot of lvl 99 players.
