So I've played numerous time in T* server (a very famous international private server) and I don't know how they do it but there's literally 0 bots.

I've played like a year or something and only saw a bot. When I used the world chat about this bot, within minutes, an admin or gm or someone teleported beside me and spawned a crapped tonne of stuff on the bot.

I actually prefer low rate. I can watch some random youtube videos on one screen, then grind on another screen. I finished watching Breaking Bad farming loot....very enjoyable

Need at least 5/5/5 kan?

I played TalonRO for many months ( I actually quit because of the ping ). I think 5/5/3x is good enough, at least for me. They need to have a very good anti-bot system/community.

I remember shouting in world chat about a bot (it's the only one I've seen through months of playing). The GM teleport on me and checked the player. The bot got owned within seconds. They need to have this kinda reaction to each and every bot otherwise it'll be infested in no time.

Yes. I think the key to have a long lasting server is to curb all botting attempts. If we kept seeing bots running around, it's going to be very demotivating to continue playing. That response alone, made me understand why TalonRO is one of the best P.server out there.

It's very noticeable for some classes. Like for me, I was running SinX. My main movement skill was backstep. If I can't spam it smoothly, I'll often get irritated. Also, I want immediate response when I click on a spot, I expect my character to start walking towards it immediately.

I endured this for months as I think Talon is a very good server.

The server is located in the US. For sure our ping will not be as snappy as SEA servers. Once I quit Talon, I was searching for a good low rate server with decent player base. But I gave up not long after.

Last I check.. people bot MVP and WOE too..

1. No. If anything, they will destroy the market with inflated price. Average price of items will go up since people who could afford to buy the items are botters themselves. Those who didn't bot will not have the same amount of income.

2. Might as well go play 1000x/1000x/1000x server. Hit 1 poring, instant Lv99.

3. If you like PvP where it's won by people who carries the most botted potion. Then sure, it's fun for you.

Why they're bad?

On top of above points,

1. It's unfair for those who play legit.
2. Most cities are dead with bots walking around doing 'chores'.
3. The economy of the server will be dictated by botters. If you can't afford it, it's most likely you didn't bot enough.
4. In the end, the game will be like B2W (Bot 2 Win).

These people likely never experienced these gameplay before. They said lvling is tedious, sure, partly correct. But I remember the time when my guildmates used to sms me to party. I would walk to the nearest cybercafe and log in to party with them.

I've played 1/1/1 and 5/5/3. The difference is actually pretty substantial, for me at least. I find 5/5/3 fine. 1/1/1 could be too brutal.

Also, they need to have proper non game breaking 'convenience' for players. Like vendor system or maybe teleport system.
