A good first half from us apart from the goal conceded from the set piece. It's the 1st set piece to be defended by us, a lapse of concentration leading to the goal conceded. A bit disappointed with it, but hey, it's the first set piece of the game.

Cech, doing some important and superb save.

Cahill and Terry doing last ditch tackles, I still rmb 1 of them clearing the ball with a bicycle kick. notworthy.gif

Lamps and Luiz playing superbly at pivot. Luiz playing some really delicious balls forward, his header ability is shown too in the pivot area. Lamps bombing forward.

Hazard, Willian and Oscar is linking up quite well, Willian tracked back on a few occassion too, which is good.

Eto. He is trying very hard to play to his best. Linked up quite well with our 3 amigos. At his age, can't complain much. But the goal, such predatory instinct by him.

Let's keep up the good work!

Still useless for me. Doing nothg except that goal and conceding the free kick that lead to the goal.  tongue.gif

Hazard and Oscar iz gooding. Willian good in defending.

Ya, he is still some way from his prime. But looking at his age, I'm content la. I expect less than 20 goals for the whole season from him, maybe 15-17 goals for the whole season.

For once, our midfields all seems to click.

I'm really impress by Luiz's performance in DM. No nonsense high ball clearance. Superb jump to head high balls. Interceptions of opponents' pass. Delicious forward through pass. thumbup.gif

Apa ni Lucas.

1) Touch Oscar's head
2) Push Oscar.

He deserved to be sent off no matter how late is the game. mad.gif

Imho, a great performance by us. We were dominating in the first half. Second half we seemed to drop a gear with Lamp's injury.

motm for me is definitely Luiz. He did almost everything right except for the silly yellow card. Eto showing that he still has that striker's instinct as his age progresses.

First half we played very well offensively while second half we defended quite well. If not mistaken, Suarez was only restricted to 1 shot on goal right? Kudos to our defence. notworthy.gif

Good win and an entertaining game. KTBFFH!

On a side note, Mou shud really consider playing Luiz in the pivot. If I am Mou, convert Luiz into pivot player, sign 1 centerback. Pivot midfield problem solved. And also I don't think Mikel and Luiz is a good combo. Mikel always seems to pass the ball backwards and sidewards. In the first half, Luiz was passing delicious balls to Lamps and the forwards. Luiz needs a better balanced partner in the pivot imo. hmm.gif

First half Lamps found himself as deepest mid in more than few occasions. Lamps not the most comfortable in possession as deepest mid. Mikel is a better partner for Lamps. Luiz' ideal partner maybe Rami?
*
hmm.gif Yup. Maybe Ram can form a nice pivot with Luiz. But Lamp and Luiz's pairing gives Luiz another option for his forward pass to Lamps. Nice to see too. brows.gif

Well, it's now up to our coach to decide now whether Luiz's performance earned him a role in DM.

btw, sifu (Mou) still stronger than student (BR) as proven in today's match. Mou is a better tactician than BR. thumbup.gif

maybe its true.

but liverpool problem this season is the same with our previous two season..lack of depth and good bench.  laugh.gif

Yup. Once Allen injured, I thought, habislah next game. Gerrard and Allen injured. No quality CM to step up for them. And Sturridge is injured too, let's say if Suarez bites again and kena ban 5 games, habislah. No more recognised strikers for Liverpool brows.gif

hmm.gif With Willian, Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard playing quite well, the scapegoat is now Mata and KDB which is dying to play a game. Pity them actually. With Mata's quality, he should start all the games, but then, kudos to Mou for his strategy and proving me wrong. notworthy.gif

I'm really impressed by our squad's depth. Iva injured, so what? We have Cole, the 2nd most impressive LB for england atm (I rate Baines as 1st place).

Seems like we have some injuries prob eh? Ramires injured, MVG long term injury, Iva injured, Lamps injured. Hope Lamps and Iva can have a speedy recovery. If not we might need to play Luiz + Essien/Mikel in pivot against Southampton.

Luiz suspended and granted permission to be at Portugal.  nod.gif

Ramires was suspended against Liverpool and will be available for Soton..so Ramires + Mikel/Essien.

Yup. Just saw the post match interview and just remembered Luiz granted leave. biggrin.gif I love how Luiz, Hazard and Mou is so relax and joking around during the interview. Really shows how our team gels. Was it Mou who said 'fighting for the title' when the reporter asked 'Where do you see yourself now that your in 3rd place' ? Nice one. biggrin.gif

Really love the optimistic way of thinking by our players. The title race is wide open this season! I'm sure we'll be 1st or 2nd place this season. brows.gif

we will be away from home for most of the second half fixtures against top 6 team..

so I hope we can immediately solve our striker problem this january.  blush.gif

Yea. As usual, our striker problem ever since Drogba left us. I can't stop imagining if we could sign a teenager version of Van Nistlerooy, a superb predator of goals. biggrin.gif
