Reading the comments in this source, I kinda agree. Atletico is now in knockout phase of Champions League and tied in first place in La Liga with Barca. It would seem foolish for them to let go of Diego Costa. But then, the 32m release clause is a bargain imo. You don't get strikers at this price nowadays.

I would say he and Soldado is different type of players. But then, there are always risk too. He is more physical than Soldado though.

JACKSON MARTINEZ has opened the door to a move to Arsenal or Chelsea by outlining his ambition to play in the Premier League.

Martinez revealed he supported both Arsenal and Chelsea during his childhood and admitted he would relish a move to the Premier League.

"Where would I like to play?" the Colombian international said.

"When I was a child I rooted for Chelsea and Arsenal.

Martinez, 27, is contracted at the Estadio do Dragao until 2016 and Porto are yet to discuss an extension to that deal.

Exactly, just not long ago I rmb I heard from radio sports news that Xabi Alonso has rejected to extend his contract in Real. Tbh, he will be the perfect pivot for us, his passing is really gooding.

Depends on our definition of old guard. If Lamps, Terry, Cole, Cech all leave at once, I will rage. For me, Cech and Cole to leave is ok, coz we have Azpi, Van Aanholt, Bertrand, Courtois to take their positions. Lamps and Terry I think shud stay.

Loan to a PL club is actually a step forward for Courtois imho, 3 Seasons' loan in La Liga is ok, but as all of us know, the PL is more physical, i would say Mou is loaning Courtois out in the PL for the laat season to let him get used to the PL's physical and up tempo game. After the next loan spell in the PL, Courtois will becum our first choice.
