I'm staying in the East M'sia where most of the dining are not applicable here. It won't be much benefit if the cash back is on dining. Majority of the grocery shops are not available here sad.gif

Maybank 2 cards benefits are more on amex but in East M'sia, amex are hardly acceptable sad.gif sad.gif

1st Year there will be Annual Fee Waiver subject to 3x Swipes within 60 Days from the Card's Approval Date... smile.gif
As for the Subsequent years, just call-in Customer Service to Request AF Waiver, It should be No Problem to get Waiver
cost You're already a Regular User to their CC... nod.gif

ME a Citi CB Plat. (2013) & Clear (2011) CC User also NO Problem to have MY Annual Fees to Waive with just a Call... biggrin.gif

Btw, As U Asking This at RHB Thread:
QUOTE
Just curious whether it is worth it to upgrade my RHB visa classic to RHB platinum. The annual fee($500) can be killing !!

OR with an Accumulative Card Spend of RM36k p.a also can Enjoy Auto-Annual Fee Waiver... rolleyes.gif

But Anyway, I think as long You're RHB Cardholder, AF can EZly be waive by Calling CS.
cos Years ago, RHB have called me 2x Begging me to keep their CC as long as possible & with a Lifetime Fee Waiver for ME brows.gif
At the End, I just Keep the Card for Another Year but now already Cut-off due to I got 10+ Other Cards to Feed... whistling.gif

I guess I roughly know what card I want. I am just afraid that I won't be able to use as much as what the banks required looking at the area that I am living.

If I am not that regular user, not sure the banks are willing to waive the annual fee for me.

Getting another card is spare for me in case the other card cannot be used (due to offline, etc) but of cuz I wanna maximize the benefit of the card if I am to apply one.

are we allow to have sooooooooo many cards shocking.gif ?

Yes, so long annual income is above RM 36k. You can have as many as you want but you might be suffering from GST and annual fees (if any). laugh.gif

1. Annual Income: Rm24k to 30k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A must

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate Only (no car so no need petrol benefit)

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: Previously looking at MBB2card but since they introduced double GST for it,I become sceptical(Doubt i will be able to spend to get rebate/cashback to cover Rm100 GST).Conclusion:None currently, any good suggestion?

6. Others:Looking for a good cashback/rebate credit card.Rarely gonna use it except for groceries and maybe some online purchasing.Just wanna get a credit card for emergency use and getting a good credit record so that I can get a better rate for my future house loan.(my older sister experienced it where she cant get good loan rate cause she never use any credit card and thus no credit record)
