1. Annual Income: RM 60k-RM 72k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes or can be waived with reasonable no. of swipes

3. Card required for: Cash back/rebate, airport premium lounges

4. Existing credit cards if any: M2Cards, OCBC Ti, SCB Plat, UOB One Plat, UOB Preferred Plat (Have the plan to terminate the no longer useful SCB and both UOB cards)

5. Looking at CC from: Alliance Plat and RHB Plat or any bank that is good for travellers

I didn't notice RHB Plat earlier, else I would have applied it instead of the UOB's useless Preferred Plat which has revised its T&C now. Need to swipe at least RM 500/month for the last three months before using in PPL. mad.gif Once I get back my promised RM 50 for both of my UOB cards, I'll terminate them straightaway.

Actually, RHB CC Benefits are Much Better compare to Alliance... smile.gif
http://www.rhb.com.my/cards/credit-card/cc...tinum_main.html
http://www.alliancebank.com.my/Personal-Ba...px#benefits-tab

When come to AF Waiver Preference to Alliance Cash Platinum just Need 12X swipes a Year but Unlimited access to Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA only.

As RHB Platinum will need Card Spend of RM36k Yearly on Annual Fee Waiver with 4X Entry a year at Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA, LCCT and Senai.

But I think as long You're RHB Cardholder, AF can EZly be waive by Calling CS.
cos Years ago, RHB have called me 2x begging me to keep their CC as long as possible & with a Lifetime Fee Waiver for ME brows.gif
Anyway, I Only Keep It for Another Year now have the Card Potong already sweat.gif
*
Yes, that's what I have compared so far but it seems RHB Plat is better than Alliance besides the 4x vs unlimited.
Thought of applying both since Alliance's first three years' AF will be waived.
RHB Plat is 1st year's AF will be waived but seems like not difficult to get it waived every year. brows.gif
If only I knew it earlier then I would have applied these two cards much earlier, I'm due for travelling soon and will miss the boat this round. Hate UOB Preferred Plat. mad.gif

are we allow to have sooooooooo many cards  shocking.gif ?

Yes, so long annual income is above RM 36k. You can have as many as you want but you might be suffering from GST and annual fees (if any). laugh.gif

i having two credit cards now , can i apply for another one if my gross salary is 3k and above but not my basic , epf deduction not 330 and above . I am interested in getting the maybank two cards .
*
As long as your gross salary is RM 3k and above, you can have cards from more than 2 banks.
It doesn't mean your basic, can add in fixed allowances as well. Non-fixed allowances will be difficult.

1. Annual Income: RM30,000.00

2. Annual Fee: Free for lifetime / as low as possible

3. Card required for: Petrol (Shell), phone bills (Maxis), groceries (Giant, Tesco), dining & retail.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: Any bank will do.

6. Others: Preferably low interest rate p.a as I will probably be paying a small portion per month to get some camera gears in the future.

Thank you for your advice.
*
Did you mean pay using installment scheme or you intend to pay minimum amount to bank? There's a difference in these two.
If installment, that's OK but if you pay minimum amount to the bank every month, the outstanding balance keeps snowballing and may affect your credit history.

Sorry, off topic. RM600 a month for insurance? for someone who earns less than 3k a month, that's a lot of money. please tell me you are paying insurance for other people, that makes sense, otherwise, are you sure you want to dump 25% of your income to insurance and barely have enough savings?

Insurance should not be counted as your 'savings'.
*
That was my first thought as well... sweat.gif
Even I'm earning more (around 2.5x more) but I only pay RM 250 per month for my insurance to complement the insurance I have from my current company. RM 600 is a lot actually. sweat.gif

None of the credit cards has GST free, so as per Gen-X's advice, get a debit card. Debit card has no GST.

If I use mbb2cards on weekdays, is there any benefits? Should I use visa/mastercard or amex on weekdays?
*
Though no cash rebate during weekdays but if you have the chance to use AmEx during weekdays, then use it as it has 5x treatpoints rather than Visa/Master just 1x.

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or can be waived with reasonable number of swipes.

3. Card required for: I'm thinking to replace my OCBC Ti. Cash rebates, dining, movies, gym, overseas travels. Prefer MasterCard to Visa as I have a few Visa already...

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank2Cards, OCBC Ti, AEON Gold MasterCard, SCB Plat (will terminate in Jan).

5. Looking at CC from: Any bank

6. Others: I have terminated HSBC Amanah Plat, UOB One Plat and UOB Preferred Plat. Probably will not consider these two banks anymore. My monthly spending is not constant, so just thinking to replace my OCBC Ti which currently my insurance- RM 250/month and Gym subscription - 129/month are tied to it.

Maybe You Can Request to Upgrade Your OCBC Tit. to OCBC World MasterCard to Enjoy more CB with,
*1.2% Rebate on Everything spend
*2X Free access per calendar year to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge
*Travel Accident Insurance (up to RM2 mil)
OR
Just Got ahead get a RHB Platinum CC, I think should be NO Problem to Request AF Waiver from RHB as long You Retain a CC with Them... nod.gif

As We know that, a Bank will giving an AF Waiver or Providing any Good Service to Customer as an Act to Earn & Keep a Customer's Loyalty ... cool2.gif
*
Thanks for the suggestions! Maybe I will look into OCBC WMC.
RHB seems not popular. hmm.gif

Either AEON Watami if you can fulfil the min Rm3000 usage per quarter year. If not then perhaps HLB Mach card and choose the relevant category. Dining/Gym/movies
*
Watami can't, I can fulfill RM3k but that includes other cards. So, for a sole card, I might have difficulty.
Yes, will look into Mach. It allows auto-billing right? I mean auto-billing also entitled for rebate I supposed?

actually if calculated from my basic pay, only around 27k. if sum up with my allowance can reach to 60k.

how strict is that strict?

i have commitment with bankislam loan 600/ month never miss repayment on time.
*
Fixed allowance or it varies every month?
If it is fixed allowance, then the chances are there but if it is not fixed, it may be difficult.

thanks guys for the recommendation.

just applied maybank ikhwan gold card, initially wanted to apply mbb2 but after detailed explanation by the sales adviser especially on gst tax.. i've changed my mind and apply 1 card instead.. thanks guys
*
Er... Ikhwan card is good to complement Maybankard2Cards but not to replace it. smile.gif
5% rebate is only for petrol and groceries and on Fridays and Saturdays. RM 1= 1 TP for all spends.

For Maybankard2Card, AmEx specifically, 5% rebate for all transactions on weekends. RM 1 = 5 TP.

The GST for two cards can be redeemed using TreatsPoints (TP). smile.gif

Anyway, the choice is yours. smile.gif

I only know I'm so happy with my AmEx. biggrin.gif
