QUOTE(lchee @ Nov 12 2013, 11:42 AM)
My Expenditure monthly where i plan to get rebates from MBB amex and wise card:

1.  TNB electric bill:  RM100+
2.  Maxis handphone about RM 150
3.  Maxis home fibre about RM 150
4.  Petrol about RM400
5.  Grocery about RM300
6.  Restaurant and pubs about RM 500 to RM1000

From the thread i read it seems wise card not good to pay utilities, so my plan for MBB amex is to use it for weekend petrol and maybe my TNB bills.  Question is how to pay TNB on weekend with MBB amex?

For wise card i plan to take mobile + dining + either grocery or dept.  You mention something bout buy aeon voucher to qualify for 10% cash back.  Is that under dept or grocery option?  I very much like that, I like to buy metrojaya/isetan and parkson voucher too.  But grocery i usually shop at either jusco or big c at mid valley, or NSK at kuchai lama or my neighbourhood market Sri Kota mart.  I work in KLCC, so very close to maxis tower.  You mention about paying all maxis bills at the kiosk is best way?  Since i have like close to RM300 for maxis (150 handphone and 150 home fibre), so i can make like 6x payments of RM50 at the maxis kiosk every month?  The online easypay is not qualified for home fibre rebate right? So kiosk is the way to go?

Why not much ppl choose dining for wise card? I go pub a lot, sometimes dine around restaurant in KLCC for lunch.  I suppose that is best category for me.  Is there only specific restaurants that qualify?  Does pub qualify?  Hope you can help shed some light.

Last but not least, should i go for wise gold or platinum?  What difference?
*
Yes U can Login to Maybank2Uto Pay Your Bill.... under Bank Account choose Bill payment Click on Make a One Off Payment select TNB from the Merchants list
Select 2Amex for Payment or U also can Register Your Utilities Bill at Make a Payment to Favourite Payee on Weekends... nod.gif

Btw, Most PPL choose Petrol, Groceries + Mobile for Wise Card Not Bad as Your Choice were Dining, If have Eat Outside Often + Groceries ... thumbup.gif
What Difference Between HLB Wise Gold & Platinum....???
To what I Can see here are the Annual Fee of the Card Gold - $160, Platinum - $300 I think the Rebate Remain All Same.... hmm.gif

I don't want the hassle of opening another bank account, since I already have CIMB and HSBC. Just knew that CIMB imposes fixed deposits with their credit cards for foreigners. If only I knew it before, I might not open an account with them. sweat.gif

Do you have any other suggestions for cards with good air miles for foreigners with approximately RM100k annual income like me? Thank you beforehand. notworthy.gif

How is UOB One card compare to Citibank Cash Back platinum?

Citi Cash Back also gives 5% rebate for all petrol stations anytime.
*
Yes, You can Notice that, the UOB One Card got Similar Benefits with Citibank Cash back Platinum...
UOB One Card (Income Requirement RM24-36K p.a) & Citibank Cash Back Platinum (Income Requirement RM40k p.a)

But, the Citibank CB Only credit the cash back earned once you reach RM50 & If the cash rebate is less than RM50 for a particular month, the total cash rebate amount will be carried forward to the following month... Whereas UOB credit the cash back monthly into the account... thumbup.gif

Another Cons of Citi CB Plat.... the 2% Phone Bills Rebates ONLY Available with Payments Made through Citibank Online & One Bill Payment... Whereas You can Enjoy Phone Bills Cash Back with UOB Card from Any Payment Channel ie: at Online Portal or Pay Over the Counter... biggrin.gif

+ U Will Get 5% + Another 2% Smart $ Cash Rebate at BPH Petrol with UOB One Card as for the Citi CB Plat. Just 5% Off for All Petrol Station... sweat.gif

The UOB One Card is Clearly Outshine & More Practical Uses Compare to Citibank Cash-Back Platinum with Similarity Benefits... nod.gif

Thanks for the review.

I think for the cash rebate of RM50 for Citibank is not a big issue for me as long as I receive it regardless when. For the phone bill is not hard to set up and do it through the online citibank system, in fact it is more convenient. I realize UOB have a limit of RM300 only for this and for petrol is only RM500.

The only thing I can see UOB One Card is better is if I pump BHP alone and also on GSC tickets.
