Just a thought, why not consider maybank ikhwan mastercard instead? In terms of benefit it is better than the amex version, plus mc is more widely accepted.

Or hsbc amanah mpower? Or both(one maybank whether amex or master, one hsbc). At least you get your petrol rebate instead of just points.

FYI, HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i their 5/8% Cash Rebate (with Dining, Groceries, Petrol Weekends spend) is NOT a Permanent Features of the Card... yawn.gif

I heard that UOB One Card has a capped limit of 900k and my mainly expenses are petrol. Is it true?
Yes is True their Petrol CB capped at RM900K /month Nationwide as Sometimes the Quota dah Habis at Mid-Month We X get our Petrol CB

But then I pump at least twice a week. Afraid maybank2cards don't suit my need as only can pump on weekends.

While for Wise card, since there is NO annual fee waiver, and I need a supp card... the cashback might be very minimal.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
Actually, How Much is Your Monthly Petrol Expenses...??? hmm.gif

There is no perfect card  cry.gif
May I know what will be the best option?
*
MY Best Option to You will be...

CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard (Lifetime Fee Waiver)- 5% Cash Rebate on e-Commerce (online spend), 2% Cash Rebate on Petrol & Groceries
Although with less CB (Only 2% Petrol CB) compare to Other CC, but with Similar 2%CB on Groceries which's same with UOB. This Card is Free for Life with NO Annual Fee will help U Save More...I think It's still Ok as long as You still get Cash Rebate with Your Spending... nod.gif http://www.cimbbank.com.my/creditcard/atta..._REVISED_V4.pdf

As for UOB 1 Card- No Guaranteed on Petrol CB maybe have to Pay Annual Fee for the Subsequent Years, It's a Disadvantages to U... sweat.gif

1. Annual Income: > 100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferred.

3. Card required for:        All expenses on weekend > M2Amex
Dining, Groceries, Online Transaction > PB VS
Plaza Premium Lounge in KLIA > Aeon Gold
Backup Online Transaction > CIMB CB Plat
Insurance > auto debit to PBVS (Allianz Life Insurance does not accept Amex sad.gif)

4. Existing credit cards if any: M2Amex, PB VS, Aeon Gold, CIMB CB Plat

5. Looking at CC from: MBB Visa Signature, Citibank CC

6. Others:

Currently I'm holding cards as below. My priority would be M2Amex > PBVS > CIMB CB. Aeon Gold just purely BT.

I'm thinking to get a card to swipe for petrol during weekdays and access to PPL on both KLIA and KLIA2.
The best that come into my mind would be MBB Visa Signature. But I don't think I can spend 50K to get Annual Fee waiver (unless they accept BT for 50k usage, do they?).. haha..

Any suggestion for auto debit card that can give cashback for insurance? Initially think of Aeon Watami, but it required 3k spending per quarter. Not sure I can make it or not because my spending kind of random. Sometimes I spend 5k a month, sometimes just few hundreds.

On the other hand, I'm also looking on Citibank CC since the Rm300 cashback kind of atttractive.

Thx all Sifu

A year ago, I believe that the annual income requirement for CIMB Petronas Platinum was RM 48k. My annual salary was just around RM 45k. One day during last year, out of nowhere, CIMB Card Centre called to offer me the card, without me applying for it. blink.gif

Being naïve back then, I accepted the card. After reading this Credit Card subforum and of course General-X blog all this while, I finally realized how useless this card is. So, I follow the general advice here to apply for Maybank 2 Cards, and cancel CIMB Petronas Platinum Card. I have no regret ever since.  rclxm9.gif

Actually, Not Totally Useless... At least the CIMB CC (it's FOC, NO Income doc Required) help You to Build Up Your Credit History 1st before Other Bank Approved You a Better Card like, M2Cs... whistling.gif
