I have a TL-WR1043ND just waiting to be set up. So, what else I might need to know about swapping out the stock router for this baby that isn't covered on the KL Seet website. Asking because the info there is pretty old...
The only thing you need to know is your UniFi username & password.
You can get the UniFi password from UniFi helpline at 1300-88-1221.

Ok the ping I'm getting is starting to get on my nerves.. I'm getting 200-1000ms to an Aussie server.. and around 400-1200ms to US servers. After a few minutes it drops back to 150/250 and when I start playing, it jumps back up again. Even 150 is not satisfying for an AU server in Melbourne.. I used to get 110ms with my Streamyx T_T

Hi...I've been having a few problems with my Unifi lately.

Everytime I start my torrent program, even though I'm not actually torrenting at all, my Internet becomes unusable. The only way for me to fix this and get my Internet to work like normal again is to restart the whole modem. Even refreshing the modem using the refresh button on the modem/router does not work.

Does anyone know why? Thanks.

What kind of router are you using now?
Are you using the original router provided by UniFi? If yes, which one?
L7-N-R2000? D-Link DIR-615?

Can provide some screenshot of the switch settings?

Or perhaps you can post the switch settings screenshot directly on the DIR-825 thread:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1900602

This way you can help other people who wants to use UniFi on their DIR-825 on OpenWrt firmware.

It's the D-Link one. Could there be something wrong with it?

Thanks for the reply by the way!

No, there's nothing wrong with it.
It's just the stock firmware that's crappy & unreliable.
Flash to OpenWrt & your problem will be solved.

Search for KlSeet blog, you'll find how to flash your DIR-615 to OpenWrt in his blog.

Just now what I did was restart my modem while leaving the torrent program on and it worked for about 30 mins before it died off again. Does this mean anything?

And uhh, could it be that UniFi is throttling my speed? Over the CNY period I had plenty of guests over my house for long hours and all of them use wifi devices. Some also downloaded quite heavily if I'm not mistaken.

I'll check out his blog later in the day when I have more free time. Thanks once again smile.gif

Or there will wait that new taman have xx% of population only come?
