This is malaysia man! If they operate in SG sure Kena fine GAO GAO by the authority. We are at the mercy of this beeend clony. They will just tell u take it or leave it coz we have no alternative. Did they compensate us for the duration of the service down? No! But when u r late for the payment , off u go! mad.gif

I can't help much as I never had DIR-825 to test.
But according to the post in the link below, he had success in using DIR-825 with UniFi & IPTV on OpenWrt firmware.

Perhaps tch9 can help you.

Already pm tch9, but no answer from him yet. Did i need to disconnect first my unifi login from modem?

Just disconnect the WAN cable from the original UniFi router, then connect the WAN cable to your DIR-825 WAN port.

Although be reminded that you won't be able to connect to UniFi until you've applied the correct switch settings, UniFi username & password inside the DIR-825 OpenWrt router.

Absolutely.
I'm using ASUS RT-AC68U at home & fully satisfied.

No need to modify anything & no need to flash custom firmware.
WiFi coverage is also very strong when compared to my previous routers such as ASUS RT-N16, TP-Link TL-WR1043ND & TP-Link TL-WDR4300.

My RT-N16 & RT-AC68U never crashes unlike any TP-Link routers I've tried.

RT-N16 & RT-AC68U comes with 2 USB ports which I fully utilize.
The first USB port is connected to a Brother MFC-J625DW printer. This turns the printer into a network printer.
The 2nd USB port is connected to a 500GB external HDD. This will let me use the router as torrent downloader & save it directly into the connected external HDD. With the Download Manager function in the router, I no longer have to use PC/laptop to download torrents. thumbup.gif

If you're using USB WiFi adapter, upgrade to a PCI/PCI-Express WiFi adapter.
Although nothing beats an ethernet cable.

Hi,

Can someone please advice me. I've been using Unifi for more than 2 years. I would like to know if I'd be able to retain the same house phone number after cancelling my unifi subscription?

If you're talking about the Unifi service number, don't think so. Cause the number is attached to VoIP service not fixed line service.
