QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 27 2013, 08:48 AM) Only oldfag like me who came from NiMH and NiCad battery era will have this kind of assumption towards battery. You must be more than 30 already Else, you might be still using Sanyo Eneloop NiMH AA battery. What is this...30 still young laaa hehe This post has been edited by yoyoan: Sep 27 2013, 09:16 AM

QUOTE(hakim_radzuan @ Sep 26 2013, 06:14 PM) Hi there, i got some problem with restoring backup. I already backup my data from note 2 to pc using samsung kies. But kies cant detect note 3 so i download kies 3. But the prob is kies 3 cant detect my previous backup and even i choose manually in the backup folder, it seem cant detect my backup data. How to transfer my backup in kies to kies 3? Try the Samsung Smart Switch Mobile from Samsung App store. I managed to transfer contacts, sms, wifi connections, docs, pictures, etc to my Note 3 from S3.

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Sep 27 2013, 09:16 AM) I always use my phone till the battery real low (3 -5%) then only I will recharge it. Why is it bad..!? Am not going to start looking for charger when my battery still have 50% juice left. That is because low charge damages Lithium Ion batteries. You can go read it up. http://gizmodo.com/how-to-take-care-of-you...ght-w-513217256

Turn on the Note 3 to install/restore back what I have in my other phone till almost flat then I charge...

Am not going to start looking for charger when my battery still have 50% juice left. Actually this method is not really recommended because when you charge from an extremely low rate constantly , it: 1) Wears out the batteries charging cycle 2) Generates heat which may stress your battery and reduce it's overall capacity. Anyways, there is a voltage control in the battery. When the battery is used up completely , it would shut it self off, however the voltage control should be above the danger zone. The only thing that degrades the battery is as above. If you do not charge your battery for a longer period of time (Your battery may discharge even in that state) then the voltage levels may drop into the danger zone and this would affect the life of your battery. Most phone manufacturers charge the phone to about 50% as that is the optimal value for it since the phone would gradually discharge even while being shipped.

QUOTE(CubixShoppe @ Sep 27 2013, 09:01 AM) Please read my statement above ya Btw, these are modern batteries, so no need to charge up to 8 hours as recommended by a lot of old time phone dealers. Once it is shown as 100%, you can remove the phone from the charger. My suggestion was for the first time usage. ok, get you, i thought you said to do that every time....

QUOTE(Gouki @ Sep 27 2013, 09:23 AM) Not sure if you can do this with modern Samsung Phones as some older phones would allow you to mount your device as a mass usb storage instead of MTP.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Sep 27 2013, 02:55 AM) I tot she was asking open window in foreground and background I sometimes confuse peoples question. Correct. In my Note II, I can open links on background but seems like this thing doesn't appear on Note 3. How unusual is that when it's a common feature.

In currently times of cloud storage and connectivity, people should no longer be losing contacts and important files and pictures on their phone if anything happens to it.
