I have tried before turning it on for a demo session but then what I feel is like it is more focused on the treble and clarity instead of the bass effect. Same goes to the 2 new models that comes with the Isobaric Sub-woofer ...

Avoid it? If i don use equalizer, than what use for my sound card? If i enable my sound card equalizer, the sound is very clear and nice. If disable, the output will not good as if i enable equalizer.

i dont know much...ask our pro...Bro Sunatou...he own Mx5021 and used to work in speaker shop...

audiophile purists want to hear the original sound, that's why we tend to leave the equalizer flat or just off that damn thing.

Main reason of sound card is not for the equalizer, but is the main processor and the DAC.
Different processor and different DAC produce a different sound.
If your defination of sound card is to use to tune equalizer, then you can save it up, cause on-board sound card also allow you to tune the equalizer.

The damn equalizer will mess up the original sound.

altec user here..ADA885..old model but i love so much this speaker, so hard to kumpul money to bought this speaker at that time..haha..

The Isobaric ones are for individuals who need a set of space saving speakers. Honestly, the bass is there but not that deep and at low volumes, there's distortion and cracking sound in the sub. I just realized that when I cracked up the volume. At that time, they were playing the Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift track by Terriyaki Boys. Then ....... habislah.......... the sub can't handle the lower registers that well at loud volumes, MX5021 and CS21 handled them much better. I guess the new models a big disappointment, the shop told me that they didn't even sell a single unit of the FX4021 model from last year till now.

Anyone ever had problems with their MX5021 controller pods?

Mine's been acting weird recently.. it sometimes can't remember its bass and treble settings, even though the indicator is correct as my previous adjusted setting (treble @ 2/5 near 3; bass @ 3/5 nearing 4), the treble is way sharper and the bass is softer than usual.. a slight move to the control dial brings back the treble in the sound output.. sames goes with the bass..

This speaker is starting to rub on my nerves from the issues with the unavoidable hissing.. till the insensitive remote controller that i need to somehow wake it up from sleep sometimes (read: press twice after inactive for a long time)..

Now coming to this.. I just can't seem to tolerate that much for what I've paid for..

Guess out it goes to the retailer again..

guys would like to ask which series of Altac Lancing is good? Value for money

might plan to go PC fair to have a look soon~

Less than 3 months..

Either mine is an isolated case, or Altec's starting the same method crap-sizing their speakers with shoddy materials.. (same fate as the legendary ATP3?)

I got a question here...When i played Counter Strike during shooting, my speaker got sound like "bap" ( if i kept shooting) i turned my treble n bass 3'' bar n volume 1.5~2.0 bar. Do you guys hav this problem ?
