CS21 is starting to be phased out soon from the market.. can't get stock from dealers in Kuching already...sweat.gif

I think I'm gonna stick with the more expensive MX5021... doh.gif

if u has a chance, go and have a listen. it's tend to emphasis slightly on mid range.
does not mean it only produce mid range, and has bass and treble weak...
it's treble and bass is consider one of the best already.
=)

I saw the latest Altec Lansing FX4021, it was a tad more expensive than MX5021 but I was wondering how good is the sound quality, the shop refused to let me listen to it unless I wanted to buy. Any comments on this new model? How does it compare?

IMHO, i go to a shop in ikano there.
there's one big computer shop has MX4021, not as impressive as MX5021.

No wonder the shop didn't wanna let me listen to it lah. Hahaha. Really got prawn behind the stone lah. (Ada Udang Disebalik Batu). The subwoofer looked like a dustbin to me and the speakers looked like midgets. I search everywhere but so far only found one review but that person seemed to say that the bass is decent but not that great or overpowering. rclxub.gif

Hi, may I know what speakers are available for testing in Ikano's Harvey Norman? I'm planning to test out MX5021, CS21 and also Klipsch's GMX 2.1. Thanks smile.gif

Calling all MX5021 owner..

mind to share how you place your speakers and its setting?

Probably can arrange this way..
sound card -> setting -> software -> setting -> arrangement

my humble arrangement will be:
SB Audigy 2 value -> nope -> ttplayer -> nope -> satelites are wall mounted (slightly higher than my ear level) and sub at left hand side, near corner.

Maybe by sharing this way of arrangment, we can have better way of experiecing the musics....

i wonder what's so special with MX5021 that requires special placing and settings? laugh.gif

Let me see mine...
#1 For movie = EMU0404 -> PcWork's custom breakout -> ATP3
#2 For music = EMU0404 -> PcWork's custom breakout -> LD2+ -> SR80
#3 NBTD... EMU0404 -> PcWork's custom breakout -> LD2+ -> ATP3 laugh.gif

player is fb2k, no EQ no ReplayGain etc. atp3 sats under my desk, near to sub (yeah i know the placement suxor but who cares? I'm not bothered with it anyway tongue.gif )

My cousin wants to buy either VS4121 or VS4221, I know besides the remote control and additional 4 watts of power for the VS4221, I see that the drivers are virtually the same. I heard VS4121 before but not VS4221 and most shops don't have it own display. So, any comments pretty much appreciated, how does VS4221 compare to VS4121.
