This A119 been reading about it so far, the GPS is external module... so you can choose not to use that module. Remember seeing the reviews can use either the GPS module or the standard stand. Waiting for mine to arrive then I'll know smile.gif

The GPS is external but it's also the mount for the A119 innocent.gif

You can use the non-GPS mount if you like...

I still think the A119 is better but the Yi 2.7K is still first batch. Maybe future batches will improved.

Just noticed the A119 has parking mode, which means I can just plug it into a power bank when I need that feature?

Yes. Best to hardwire to your car fuse box or via OBD port. Powerbank not safe if parked in hot weather.

Any recommendation for any dash cam that runs on capacitor and <RM300?

If possible, please provide links as well. Took a look at Lazada and quite concern that most seller dont offer any warranty.
*
I bought from lazada (rm233 + 100voucher). A119.
From extreme deals shop.
Got version 2 model.
Come with gps mount + 2 mormal mount. (Quite useful, can mount in other cars..)

Cheaper model can take A118s. Good also.. rm2++
My 1st dashcam. Now put in wife's car.

Track back to January 2017... didn't see it ah nevermind. Side note, you mentioned about OBD and those hardwire kits... any recommended ones? Might consider to get that instead to leave my power socket empty plus the cabling would look nicer as well.

I saw that cam's review is quite good and seems like highly recommended by members here. But my concern is lack of warranty for such high price item....

You guys know any seller that offer warranty for it? Scared that it die after a week of use and my money gone just like that.
*
Sorry to burst your bubble but RM350 translates to about $80 and that, where dashcams are concerned is definitely not high priced.

I'm going to be blunt.. Increase your budget or deal with crap.

Also, cannot watch in 2.7K on youtube.

Was thinking of uploading the raw files. But not sure if ppl willing to download 160+mb for the 1-minute video file.

The traffic looks a bit better but have to monitor and see the following week if it's getting better or not. Anyway, very convenient to go into town now with MRT.
*
Pls upload the raw files.. Gdrive, dropbox, etc..

Hi everyone,

I bought this over Gearbest. It's not the Viofo A118c but I think it should be good considering the price.

Was very tempted to go with the A119 but have serious doubts about its degradation in our hot weather.

I've read some complaints on this A118c warping in heat and sort of wanting to test it out in our weather by leaving it parked in our hot sun. If it does fair well then I don't mind getting the a119 later on with the a118c shifted to my rear.

ddpai camera looks small and discreet. I noticed there are two versions for ddpai mini 2 vs 2s. Any good?

Serious doubts about the A119 in our climate? Mind sharing these doubts, perhaps I've overlooked something. IMO, from extensive research.. The A119 cuz capacitor, build quality, etc, actually comes highly recommended for the Malaysian climate. Plus the V2 has some practical hardware changes.

My Viofo A119 and A119S is parked every day during the weekday in the sun and rain at Cyberjaya. Been using since I got them for review.

No signs of warping in the heat.

The capacitor still working good. If lithium battery sure by now cannot charge or bloated or worst leak/explode.

The only issue I have is the auto restart which is fixed in V2 of the A119 and A119S.

Heard the Viofo G1W-S have taken over the A118C as the best budget dashcam.
