they studied and discover it actually not a favorable design, due to:

a) the hardware vulnerable/problem
b) consumers not really like it or need rear cam
c) legal matter: hit from behind it always the car behind in fault, no big argue point. it seems china traffic law also same with malaysia at this part. and ppl pretend to be hit by car driving on the road would come in front, not from behind...

therefore main cn brand don't do dual cam

it no good by juz letting dashcam sit there without any form of disguising. e.g. get a piece of those signboard with suction cup like "baby on board", "don't kiss me", then cut a hole in center to make room for cam lens, this makes camera stealth (like spycam). then if want more, can wrap the camera body with sth similar color with the signboard, so if browse from inside car also cannot see the cambody. the last thing obvious is only the usb power cable but still can find way to minimize visual.

personally now i got Mehome MC6, and MD2.
all use USA super capacitor,
main chipset is Huawei,
sensor is Panasonic,
got GPS function (can show xxkm/h and traveling journey but it got some problem here)
wifi with phone APP,
no LCD screen,
extra feature like voice command to take photo (but mandarin only so far) or hand gesture to take photo (it got sensor). Latest firmware even allow saving that video if u voice command/hand gesture taking photo. very handy feature if u wanna take sth sudden on the road like road block, WITHOUT DISTRACTION TO YOUR DRIVING ATTENTION, and no worried it being overwrited that cepat cepat wanna playback to copy that to your phone from memory card if using other dashcam. One more good thing is the app is multilanguage support.

Bad thing is their mounting usually is sticker type only and unique design one, no aftermarket or 3rd party. i need to diy applying nylon tightening cable to tight it to a adapter, then the adapter join to the nimitz mounting kit, then finally can use.

Mehome is cooperating with traffic dept in shenzhen (equal to JPJ in malaysia) that u can tape wrongdoing of other drivers and then report it to police dept through the phone APP, then u get 'rewarded'!!! malaysian gov every year spent so much sending officers overseas to learn, may one day it copy this idea bcoz it could bring tremendous saman incomes to JPJ since every one can be 'jpj police', let say a saman RM300, u get rewarded 10% if approved , that RM30!!! i sure everything if full time on the road can earn a lot by judging malaysian driving behavior.



p/s: another bad news is that by conversion, shipping fees all that sum up it already over rm250 ~rm290 for MC6. MD2 is more expensive. they follow the alphabet to differentiate grade > MC, MD, ME , MK (ME and MK series not out yet, soon). so xiaoyi still the price winner here for now after all those subsidized e-marketplace discount coupon.
