Uploaded some test video today. Video shows the smooth focusing of details as well as hand-held panning, still ok for shaky hands like mine
might need to switch to HD if your connection is slow: This post has been edited by hox: Oct 8 2013, 12:25 AM |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Oct 7 2013, 04:22 PM) She replied me "What's a shutter key?" I guess the question is, why would you keep the camera grip on all the time? The battery on the grip is miniscule and is good for emergencies only, the grip of course makes it nicer to hold stable, but given time with the phone only you can do it too.She said why this phone so heavy, hard to take photo la ... (She's using left hand side to hold the phone while all the weight at the right part due to camera grip) For me the main purpose of the grip is just that I can use the tripod mount to fit onto my stuff more steadier. |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Oct 7 2013, 11:13 PM) From minimallyminimal.com -If you’re thinking about getting one, don’t. The case relies on two tiny contact pins to mate with the phone and it's problematic. I’ve had multiple times when this alignment was a fraction of a millimeter off and the phone wouldn't charge. It also adds a significant amount of thickness to the phone and I don’t think it’s worth it for what is a small convenience gain. I returned it after a day of use. |

I am using it more than 3 days already so far so good. |

The battery on the grip is miniscule and is good for emergencies only, the grip of course makes it nicer to hold stable, but given time with the phone only you can do it too. Cause current there isn't any good casing for my Lumia 1020 ... For me the main purpose of the grip is just that I can use the tripod mount to fit onto my stuff more steadier. The hard case like Nilkin one i have problem on removing it cause it fit just too well QUOTE(sukimasu @ Oct 8 2013, 02:47 AM) Eh? He updated his thread already, lol ... Thanks for the help QUOTE(hox @ Oct 8 2013, 08:29 AM) From minimallyminimal.com - Hmm .. maybe it's a defect unit? If you’re thinking about getting one, don’t. When I have time, I'm gonna see wheter a bounce card or tissue paper diffuser tube works better with the xenon flash on the camera.. Principles should be the same right?

QUOTE(Andy214 @ Oct 4 2013, 10:55 AM) The lowest price now is around RM2188/2199 from SatuGadgetDotCom or DirectD hey andy, have you deal with them before? im thinkng of getting from them but, lelong, to me is infested with scammer so, need to be carefulIt comes with Camera Grip + some misc free gifts. Deducting the Camera Grip, the phone cost less than RM2K. Seems OK. But I think I'll wait a little longer more, the price most likely will go down further since now it's just launch like 1 week+ ago? And currently, there's also Note 3 and Z1 which may impact the price of Lumia 1020 later. Just not sure whether later IF the price drops below RM2K, will it still have Camera Grip free? If No, then not much different than now? Also not sure will there be AP version for 64GB units. Authorised set most likely will not have 64GB units. |
