Haha, sounds like WP is REALLY sucks in its current state and nobody want to buy, probably in worst state than Blackberry in Malaysia. I'm working currently for a huge and very popular site in Malaysia, and here are the statistic of the Top 40 devices for the last one month:



Anyway, I still be getting the Lumia 1020, as it will my first WP. I've been experimenting using different mobile OSes, test driving them as sole device for months, seeing how i can incorporate them in my daily usage and workflow and also able to give an unbiased assessment of the overall experience using the OS . So far, iPhone lasted the longest (more than a year), followed by Blackberry Q10 (been using since launch and still my fav device today despite the specs and the sad app store, BB10 is really a sweet and powerful OS esp the File Manager). I find myself can't keep non-nexus Android longer than 2 months, I just can't stand the inconsistency of UI/UX and thoughtlessness in many details in the OS despite its features.

I intentionally avoiding reading or knowing anything about WP until now so that I can experience it first hand when my yellow submarine arrive in a day or two. Looking at all your feedbacks, I probably will be disappointed big time HAHAHA

I don't think they will incorporate the traditional File Manager in the OS, modern mobile OSes are moving towards something like Android Intent or WP Contract (iOS don't have similar API or function yet, probably iOS 8). I have no problem not having a File Manager as I hardly share or work on files simultaneously between apps but it's a sweet feature to have especially the polished implementation in BB10. I can swing between Dropbox, my Macbook Pro, Box, and the phone like Tarzan hehe...

Will report my 'virgin' WP experience soon this week!

goody, glad the camera grip is black, worry it is also yellow, doesn't match as nicely with my yellow submarine...first impression, I prefer the matte more than 920 glossy finish, reminds me of N9. And it's much lighter than I expected which is good, will test out later and for the first time experiencing WP! Need to take MC tomorrow ady LOL

and I successfully removed that stupid Zitron and sirim whatever logo at the back without destroying them...stick back to the box in case of warranty claim.

btw, like the matte yellow a lot compared to glossy yellow that looks plasticky

I never use zoom in my previous 808 for stills because it is not really zoom but crop. Once you zoom, it no longer 'pure'. But I do use zoom in video as it is real zoom compared to still.
