goody, glad the camera grip is black, worry it is also yellow, doesn't match as nicely with my yellow submarine...first impression, I prefer the matte more than 920 glossy finish, reminds me of N9. And it's much lighter than I expected which is good, will test out later and for the first time experiencing WP! Need to take MC tomorrow ady LOL

This is probably out of topic... Just curious if WP8 or Lumia1020 have options to reset/change the naming convention of the photo?

The inability of changing that in WP7 had gave me a lot of *****(1).jpg files. Not very productive IMO when you have lots of photo to sort through.

erm... what files you looking for??

i doubt camera PHONES can generate RAW files?? rclxub.gif

filename is based on date time now, just try not to sync 2 phones into the same photo you should be fine. But I think the new windows phone tool does a better job of splitting the files for different devices now.

The Lumia 1020's massive pictures don't deliver magic pixel perfect zoom, it's more about how usable the pictures are when you do zoom in.

Check out this picture, and get a nice look at the shoes in the shoe shop at the ground level.

This is the 5MP version of the picture
http://zoom.it/5k1h

Now which would you rather want to be available when you need to crop it out for a post?

I never use zoom in my previous 808 for stills because it is not really zoom but crop. Once you zoom, it no longer 'pure'. But I do use zoom in video as it is real zoom compared to still.

Yes, you don't zoom when taking the picture, zoom AFTER taking picture.

not worthy it. Because the 1020 will lose value within 3 months then it will be pain in the tut tut to accept its resell value.

I would rather queue for Note 3 than a Nokia Lumia 1020 at its price tag. For its overall OS performance and limitation the price tag is overpriced.

Reason is simple free samsung gear. While Nokia grip if made in china might worth RM60 or RM70 while the samsung gear can reach RM500 - RM900

2nd If u used a note 2 you know why its worth to get note 3. All my notes all mostly written by s-pen.

My contacts on the phone are link to google contacts while my contacts on lumia making a mess in my live account.

The main selling point is the S-pen. You can draw, you can crop, you write text, you can colour and if the s-pen is too far away from the phone it will tell you.

Nokia free gifts are getting crappier and overprice now. Back then when Nokia Lumia 900 u get a free monster headset dude. Its call giving massive value but nokia value is at least we gave you something than nothing.

If you have follow nokia products. Nokia practice limited stock to show that there is high demand but actually its not.
Nokia store got example 30 units that the maximum sold out u need wait 1 week for stock new arrive.

Samsung practice everywhere got stock until sold out.

Nice, envy-ing drool.gif

But the box design bit weird? From behind...
It doesn't include the lanyard, right?

well you assume all is made in china, and you assume nokia ""malaysia"" only got 30 stock per week. i also a guy who is disappointed with nokia 1020 price tag, but i will not fall as low as this. And you assume that the s-pen is the ultimate tool for everyone else hahaha sweat.gif ...

I like to have S-Pen feature and Multi-Tasking from Note2 to Windows Phone. I'm not sure whether I will find immediate use but I think I will try to integrate my daily working routine. My handwritten notes has its own limitation such as cannot filter column, or cannot search in very quick manner.

Anyway, lets hope upcoming WP have this.
(LOL, I know, I know, I am being sarcastic. WP definitely yet to have these feature available so soon. Perhaps 2015. I am just morning dreaming. Hehe)

i never assume s-pen is for everyone like i also dont assume you mastering 41MP performance/ Can i doubt you and every single person here capable to achieve the highest ultimate image quality with the 41 Megapixels? Or simply snap because its 41MP. I do not know who took the 41MP imagine earlier dont you notice the output because the exposure the picture is damaged with 41Megapixels.

Like you assume paying overpriced for a device that do not have high demand in the market is alright?
If your assumption is correct this thread wont be in V1 sifu. So sifu you can blindly assumption we can also see difference i am making a point for some to understand and not like you assumption for the sake of assuming.

because that person bring up note 3 so i just explain without blindly assuming like you SIFU notworthy.gif
